1st post to the forum!!!
Do the larger numbered shock pistons have the smaller or larger holes? Needed to pick up a few & wasn't sure which to get... Also does changing up or down one piston size equate to about a +- 10 change in shock oil weight?
Boykster - In your setup post your droop is 2 front and only 1.5 rear?? Just checking...
Thanks, Denney

Larger number is a smaller hole - the numbers are acutally SAE drill sizes.
Pistons are used to tune a shocks 'pack', and oil is used to tune the static damping...different deals. Pack is the sharp quick movement, damping being the slower movement, on and offpower, side to side weight transfer through a sweeper, etc.

Denney,
Yep, that's 2mm front and 1.5 rear droop....earlier in the thread, I was asking for help in getting my car to stop being "lazy" in the turns, and got suggestions for lowering the ride height and droop in the rear....I did that (and a couple of other things) and my problem is fixed.
The 1.5 is not measured with the losi droop guage, but with a rideheight guage (still measuring droop however).

denney - you generally want to have a set of 55, 56, and 57 pistons.
boykster - when the car is lazy i do one of a few things.
1. lighter shock oil
2. bigger piston
3. stand the shocks up one hole on the tower
4. less anti drive (smaller # inner hingpin mount)
5. higher roll center
6. stiffer spring
(no particular order)

Damn !!! They finally came out with a Losi Graphite kit with titanium turnbuckles, and threaded shocks. All this after most of us spent a million bucks converting ours!!!
I guess it's good for those who don't have one yet or if you want to buy another one, it won't cost as much.

I want one!!
Hopefully it will come with either shiny or aluminum CDs...
What else would there be to buy? Sway bars and roll center blocks?
Thanks

As far as the website states the aluminum cvd's you'll have to get on your own, it'll come with the steel cvd's so pretty much Swaybars, aluminum cvd's and low rollcenter blocks. It also doesn't state whether the front shocks have the short bodies and shafts but if not you might have to get them as well.
Also, they're suppossed to be coming out with a new belt, I wonder if they'll include the new belt or the old belt?

Just had a look at the site, where's the details for the newer up-specced car?
Can someone post a link or something please?
Cheers.
