Default New chassis

I like the new chassis for a # of reasons. First, it gives you more options to forward mount the batteries. Second, in case some of you did not know, the 3000 stock metal hydrides are actually lighter than a 2400 sanyo. We weighed the two a while back can't remeber the #'s. I would like to see hte batteries mounted closer to the centerline as well, so I am not disagreeing with you guys on that point. Lastly, it will be lighter because there is less graphite on the front of the chassis.

Food for thought.

damo: the balancing problem still remains. No matter how light the new cells are, they still weigh more than a XXL reciever, Quantum speedo, and a transponder. Because thats all there would be to balance agaist a 3000 pack! Oh theres also the wire! Better make it 12 gauge for the extra weight! ....LMAO!

oh, man I kill me........

RCCadet/antoniop:1/8 and 1/5 scale!!! Man, now thats definitely time to get the heck off the track. Now I see why they have to set aside time for regular electric practice! Jezzzzzz.

I get worried when I use to run my 1/10 touring nitro car with 1/8 Serpents!!! Won't dream of running electric on the same track and same time as those beasts!

dtm: if you think the Corally people are bad about saying the Xray is a Corally copy, then you should listen to the Yokomo guys.

Apparently, every car that mounts the battery on the right side of the chassis is a Yok copy! The Losi XXX-S and Schumacher Mission are both Yokomo copies supposedly!

In that case then you can tell them that ALL Yokomos are copies of Tamiya because they invented the RC touring car!! That should wind them up!

PS: I use to have a C4 too!!

I only have the centre weights. I haven't really tested them properly yet. I also have the balancing tool.... its ok if a little primative.... don't expect the same level of accuracy as the MIP tweak station!

dtm: Did you go straight from C4 to T1 or were there others in between. Actually I would love to run my C4.1 agaist a Xray just to see how they compare. Problem is that there was only one person with an Xray at my local tracks, and he wasn't a very good driver. There was NO way I could see what the Xray could do with THAT guy driving.

Maybe when we start our indoor carpet season, I will get to see a real driver using the car. Or maybe next years outdoor season.

I had a C4 before and they are totally different even they look similar. The Xray is way superior in quality and much smarter designwise. performance is very consistant and very responsive to setting change.

Default xray parts

Just got my Xray parts on order and I must say MDI is top notch in customer service. For those interested in parts Les is a great guy to deal with.
