Does this truggy fit a 1/8 scale motor? I was thinking about a Turnigy Trackstar. One guy put one in a Hyper 10SC with a Mamba Max Pro and got 83 mph. Obviously geared really high, but it is a 6 pole motor. Thoughts?

Overall power, gear ratio and aerodynamics determine top speed. The amount of poles have to do with torque. A 6 pole motor might make a difference when you start increasing the weight of a vehicle, but with a lightweight vehicle, you want to shoot for power(kv) and aerodynamics over torque as torque affects acceleration more than top speed.

I actually have the trackstar motor (2560kv) which I put on to my TT, mainly to see how it would run on 4s. The thing flies...literally. But the problem is that the truck has such a short wheelbase, and as mentioned is so light, that its front wheels start to lift off the ground with anything more than half throttle. Floor it and it turns into a plane. I remember when I tried it one evening and a cop car stopped patrolling to watch the spectacle. Lol. I tried mounting a home-made front wing and even added weight to the front end, but it didn't work. It isn't a car for top speed runs, but with a Castle 3800 motor and 3s, geared aggressively , it's a very fun parking lot basher.

That kind of depends on what size of motor you are using, how it's geared, battery. Lot's of factors to consider. I personally never needed one using a 4.5 turn 550 14t pinion and 2s battery.

It will be a Castle 1410 with a 15t pinion with the stock 42T spur gear (for now). 7.4v battery, but I want to eventually go to 3s for bashing.

Thinking about selling the 10TT as a roller. No one runs it here and it just sits on my shelf. What is the going price for a complete roller?

Maybe somewhere around $100. It really just depends on what you have done to it and what it comes with. With them being discontinued you will probably have to price it lower than what it's worth to you. I love these trucks and wish that was not the case. Good luck.

Guys , i'm using hobbywing 120a sct pro esc with leopard motor 3800 to 3900 and installed with sct tyres . Is it ok to use 15t for my pinion ? I'm using 3s 5000mah lipo also . Haven had time to test it out on offrd yet due to heavy rain for couple of weeks . Spur gear is stock though .
