hey has anyone got one of those heatsink motor plates. i was thinking about getting them for my cars but for $35 bcuks each i dont really know if they are worth it and how much cooling they accually give.
also i was looking through RC model and i was looking for another set of caron camper plates. but i could only find the plates without spacers. i thought there was a kit with spacers, am i wrong? if so where do i find the spacers because i couldnt find them

what i wanted about the heatsink plate was does it accually help heat. i already have myself some 05 plates, well cut stock ones, but heat is always an issue and i didnt know if a heat sink plate accually helps because not very much air runs accross the pate.
for the camber plate in the picute on rc model doesnt show the spacers so i was a bit concerned.

for the CF plates..if the pics show they are packaged..then they might be behind the plates or instructions..they are seperately packaged inside.

the CF plate looks really nice on the car..but a pain to mount the ball studs and tiny lock-nut...
the aluminum ones are nice...wish I still have mine.. may have to buy another set....
the Jet version is just as good as HPI's aluminum mounts....and cheaper!!! $17.00usd

What do the plates help with? I didn't notice any change in camber during suspension travel due to the flex of the plate.

My son stripped a ballstud out of the rear mount but I suspect it wasn't totally screwed in. I bought his car second hand (built be never run) and the person who built it didn't do that great of a job. Partially my fault since I didn't go over the entire car before the first race. I have now though and found several fixes.
camber plates
hpi camber plates: (not sure about jet)
stock plastic plates = 2 holes
cf plates = 4 holes
al plates = 5 holes
also al plates are tapped so you dont have to deal with a lame nut like on cf parts. tho they are heavier some and much more $$
the cf also hve the advantage that they are a builtin upper deck mod, that is the ones i saw kept the screw head far below the upper deck.
i say open ur wallet, if you can afford al (hpi or jet) then get them, and if not then get cf

jet aluminum mounts have 4 holes and cost $17.00 from rcmodel..
cheaper than HPI's CF mounts. and almost half of HPI's aluminum version.
