I was thinking about picking up a tamiya f104 the ferrari f60 kit from a local store, are the tires included any good for carpet or will I need different tires right away?

I sold The yellow FGX. It had lots of Exotek parts which made it extremely durable. Thanks!
It was the car that made me get back into RC after a long break. Since then i have bought 4 more F1 cars.

And if anyone is interested in replicating the Red Bull as close as possible. Use Tamiya PS-59 Dark Metallic Blue paint (spray it on thick, or back it with black). The plastic parts like the mirrors, I used the same paint, but coated with Model Master Ultra Gloss Clearcoat (No. 28139) after. Careful as it doesn't stick as well as plastic paint.
For the wings, use the vinyl at the below link. It is pretty much a spot on match with the Tamiya metallic blue. The vinyl has a white backing on the other side, so you can trace out the cut.

It seems, through trawling through this thread, That the F-60 body shell really is the go to shell for most team liveries!
I think I will have my work cut out for me over the next few months - as my current project will be trying to paint 2 bodyshells a month, all with different liveries.
Mainly 2012/2013 cars. If anybody has any advice for which shells work best for particular team liveries, please share them! I will of course document my work on here - And will certainly be throwing a lot of money in the F1 Paintlabs direction on lots of decals!

Just so you know, a few of the local guys including myself have found that the F2012 does not handle as well. I had to find out the hard way. I painted a total of four bodies (two for me and two for my teammate). Two F2012s first, FAIL. Then painted two F60s as replacements.
I thought it was just the F2012 front wing that messed things up and by putting a F60 front wing on fixed this.
