It's funny, HistoricRC is in my home town, but I have never heard of the company before now. We also have Frewer racing as well.

HistoricRC appeared a few years ago, their bodies were just really old Frewer shells, bought from Frewer then sold online for twice the price Frewer would charge.

This looks like their first unique body.

These are the bodies I know of from HistoricRC.

I sold the 917 body I had on ebay a few yrs ago 6 or so.I picked it up from them or Him! 8 to 10 yrs ago if I remember correctly.

Now back in the 90's I remember Frewer Bodies I don't remember them having these bodies but I might be wrong!

Over $100 for the T70 body with driver is too rich for my blood, but it is cool. The time that Marty, Ned, and Big Al put into their creations far exceeds $100 just for the head!
I love the McLaren bodies. I was at an SCCA Hillclimb a month or so ago in NC and there was an honest-to-God McLaren running there.

Has anybody used the Speed Passion F1 body? The one with the 4 nose cones?

Im after finding out if one of the those nose cones resembles the 2013 williams car. Anyone got pics?

Cheers!

It was quite a clever idea, making use of the unique full length fins to join it.

Very well done...it puts their other efforts, the Chaparral and 917 to shame! You can see them here:

The difference is the Chapparal and 917 weren't 'their' efforts, they were Frewer bodies from 30 year old moulds.

Hi All, I'm Bruce from HistoricRC. I thought I'd just set the record straight here about the bodies I have made. Some years ago I produced a few different 1/8 scale bodies, primarily because that was the scale I was most interested in. There was never much demand for them on a commercial level because most people involved in 1/8 are just after pure performance rather than nostalgic appeal. Having said that I had a lot of very happy customers, which I feel very happy about. The McLaren (M8A and M8F), Chapparal, and Porsche 917 are not copies of anything but the original full size car themselves. I did sell some Frewer bodies as well which he no longer produced (he is located close to me), but these bodies you see here were nothing to do with him at all except that he supplies material to me due to his better buying power. More recently I have become interested in 1/10 cars so decided to do some more bodies for these. I've started with a body that I've wanted to do for ages, which is the Lola T70. Also I've done a 1/10 version of the classic Tamiya Lola T333 (although I'm not offering this for sale at this stage). In the works now is a 1/10 Porsche 917 with full undercut detailing like the T70, and also another McLaren M8A. As you see I'm only interested in doing things that are different from what others offer, and these are the cars that I love also. Regarding the prices on the products - I'm not set up for high volume production so the price needs to be higher to make it worthwhile. Anyone that has vacuum formed complex parts in polycarbonate will know that it's a process that is not as easy as the internet would have you believe! Unfortunately this is just a reality of niche product production. Best Regards, Bruce
