Probably hard to source now, but I found some white 2mm hex shaped shims off an old HPI Pro2 parts tree fit nicely. Just remember that they may stay inside the hex of the wheel when you think you have lost them...

Or just some m3 sized standard washers should be good enough for a 1mm shim.

As far as I know there are no different length arms for the standard suspenion. You can use the short arms designed for the TA04SS...but they are short as in wheelbase not car width.

There are varying lengths of arms for the lightweight suspension. I'm not sure exactly the difference but it's between 1-2mm per arm.

And yes, the hard rear hub on the standard suspenion is 1 degree.
I have always been under the impression that the non- 2 degree rear uprights were 0 degrees not 1, but I can always be wrong
I am running from front to back 1D ,D bridge, 1B, 1D
With the hard 2 Degree uprights.
This setup makes the car very wide, so you need to run the 5mm hexes

I believe you that they are different, but Tamiya never makes mention of it. Kinda weird. I have the blue ones that came with my MRE, so I am inclined to believe they are the .5mm ones...

Hi,

No, just different colours, both packs contains two sets (4 each) of 1mm and .5mm. Red seems harder to find tho.

Does anybody make ceramic diff balls that fit the TA05? I've been trying to find them and come up empty handed.

Default TAO5 ready lipo's

If you are looking for LIPO batteries that fit ito the grooves of the chassis like a 6 cell pack, the Oroin 3200 fits in the stock battery slot.

I beleive the Orion 3600 may as well as both have the same general form factor as well as the feet on the bottom that allow it to fit into the battery slots.

I got the Orion 3200. Want a bigger one.
Does the Reedy 5000 fits?
Their price is pretty good. Under $100

on my 05r i put 3mm shims on the axle with 5mm clamping hubs and still cant get 28mm foams to clear the ballcup on the steering knuckle. the tires are the old style rims(parma)not the newer larger style rims. any sugestions besides some creative grinding?
