Do I need low roll-center?
Do I need low roll-center? I race on medium to low grip asphalt, bit bumpy. Would it give more traction? Or is it the same to use softer springs?

aluminum carriers
I was wondering where I could get the aluminum front carriers for the xxx-s? I looked on stormers website and also on speedtechrc and I didn't see the front carriers in aluminum. Any help would be appreciated.

guys losi redesigned the front arms.....so to run low roll center, you need to remove some material from the bumpers, and the chassis.....

To clear this up. I just bought the rod ends from Losi. The only thing is that they are for the XXX. I have been told that you can cut them down but I dont know if I should. I was just wondering if any other R/C company makes some that I dont need to cut, or should I cut them?

AE parts for Losi
Hi,
Like to know if AE TC3 shock will fit XXX-S. I am not fond of threaded shock and thinking of getting the AE TC3 shock. Wondering if the length of the shock is suitable for XXX-S.
Does TC3 CVD axle will fit XXX-S ? I heard that the thread end
is a little longer then XXX-S ones. Also, I am using TC3 steering block carrier (C-hub) and wonder if steering block will fit XXX-S.
Like to know such that if my LHS run out of losi spares, I could use some of the TC3 spares.
Please advise.

ottoman,
what spring/oil/piston combo are you running? ie. if you are running 50 wt. oil and blue springs (losi - 14 lbs.), can you use the same 50 wt. and associated's comparable spring?

Can anyone give me a good overal setup for my xxxs.
Mine is pushing very hard turn-in. I have tried several things but the problem stays. I drive 4 degrees caster, no kick-up front or rear, corally take-off tires with medium inserts, 50 wt-oil, front blue and rear silver springs. thanks.

sanitare,
If you want to try a good setup, try the new Todd Hodge setup on www.teamlosi.com go to setup sheets and click on the new setup.......
try the whole setup, even the low roll center in the rear with the high roll center in front......
even try the soft springs in the setup(blue, silver) but also try it with blue springs in the rear and green springs in front.....
post any other questions.....

hey blazn420,
What do you mean by "low roll center"? Is it just to use the lower holes in the diff cover? Or do i need something else?

you need to get Trinity low roll center blocks. they are red aluminum and part of the Matt Francis line of xxxs parts.....
use them and the lower holes in the diff cover.....
you dont need to try the low roll center on the front end....

I don't know if this has been asked before but:
1. What is the final drive ratio (FDR) of the XXX-S when underdriven?
2. Will this be the same ratio when it is overdriven?
3. When a front one-way is used should the FDR be calculated using the rear pulley only or should the front pulley be taken into consideration?
Hope you guys can help.
