are there any aftermarket front oneway units for the xxx-s? if there are, how do they compare to the one made by losi/trinity?

The chattering also comes from the screw that goes into the bottom of the carrier to hold the steering spindle in. I put a .030 washer on it and then screwed in the screw and now with the steering totally maxed out I have no chatter at all in the front. You could use a smaller screw but I would stick withteh longer one with 1 washer under it. You may also want to put a .030 washer under the ball carrier that screws into the spindle also.

I don't think so, that chattering is coming from the cvd's binding at the joint. There's numerous post of people saying that their aluminum cvd bones are busting right where the cvd pin goes in. One one to eliminate the chattering is that you'll need to glue a .030" washer to the front spindle to eliminate the steering throw which is part of the reason why the cvd's are binding. Also, mounting the arms forward will help. This helps angle the cvd's straighter instead of angled back.

The car felt pretty good today. I got to play with running the 41 tooth pulley in the front with the oneway today.....let me just say that it's way different from what I was use to. It did have it's bright moments as well as dark one's. I'm going to play with the set up somemore next week in hopes of working out a few bugs. (rear end was loose but controllable)

My xxx-s felt VERY good. Too bad I put a dog of a motor in for the main..........very EASY car to drive......very predictable.

All you XXX-S fans, check out the Events section of the site for pictures of Kinwald's XXX-S. His chassis milling job is, at the very least, worth checking out.
Losi has the TQ in pro-stock (Lemieux) but not in mod (Tosolini) at the Novak race. Who'd have thought?

Silly thing is, he's had to put a load of lead on the car so it can't be a weight issue. What would he have gained by milling the chassis? More flex? Just put the original chassis on.
Very strange.
