Sorry, I should have said either the Yokomo Hardened Universals or TiR Worlds CVD's. The kit universals snap under acceleration.

PS-I only say this since you're racing modified. They should be fine for a clean driver in the stock class. When I've used them in mod, I've snapped then under straight line acceleration. When running 19turn, I only snap the pin that holds things together. For stock, I've never broken either part.

Hi guys,

can you help me in getting the spring rate values of the standard Yokomo springs?
I mean not the Rayspeed coming with the BD, but the shorter ones from Yokomo.

Do you know why Yokomo is selling the BD with the long Rayspeed springs?
Those seem to have a lot of play with the collars and require that special spring cup...which hits the suspension arm when fully leaning in the front shocks.

Many thanks,
Eddi.

The reason of using Rayspeed Springs ( wider diameter ) are more nimbleness or softness factor. I know they are too wide at the top, but they are okay as long as you keep the blue alluminium spring cup at the bottom.

Is there shorter springs version from yokomo ? I think only tamiya and mugen seiki makes them. I mean they are same color but different number of coils, short and long.

Thank you all for posting again the spring chart and giving the explanation !

On my side, to fit the Rayspeed springs, I machined 4 adapters out from an aluminium billet: they are not too tight (just a little play) to the collar and seem to work fine !

Eddi.
