the "rc" Titanium is a tad heavier, but much more durable. titanium is not as durable as steel though. With the extra durability, you gain weight. So aluminum is the lightest and steel is haviest. Titanium offers the best stregnth at the lightest weight. The titanium we use for the rc cars isnt TRUE titanium. Its a Titanium/alum/vanadium alloy (It has a chemical composition of 6% aluminium, 4% vanadium, 0.25% (maximum) iron, 0.2% (maximum) oxygen, and the remainder titanium-thanks wikipedia.)
Side note, I am addicted to painting bodies. I need a new one. (Even though I have yet to race my NSX...
I want an IFS specific body. I am debating between the 350R, Arta, RX7(SGC7), LP560-4 or the HSV. I am leaning towards the SGC7 or the HSV.
I wish Tamiya would put "IFS only" on their IFS bodies.

I have an arta and a corolla axio. the Garaiya's are sold out unless you buy from HK.

Installed Alum. Steering
The build continues, I hope that tonight I can get the A-Arms built.
I got the alum steering and links installed. outside the car, they felt a bit sloppy (as with some play) which one of the reasons I wanted the upgrade. However, when installed in the car the play seems to have been neutralized. I also managed to install the alum rocker arms.
As the race track is very far and racing hasn't picked up consistently, I plan to use this car for some parking lot racing (ouch) I am wondering if I should mount it on the kit chassis and not risk damaging my carbon chassis? - another option would be to run the car relatively height of the ground. Has anyone ran theirs quite high?
To those who race this car, do you find that you get a better car in any way with the normal suspension versus IFS?

do you guys run these IFS shells in touring car class or have a separate group?
no chance to use them down here, its all 4dr sedan racing blobs
got an ARTA with the TB03 but still not painted, not very keen on
multi-part shells too - they're heavier & fall apart earlier than expected

It depends on your class. Some classes are more open than others. TCS races theyre ok, GT1 and GT2 theyre ok, RCGT but prostock, mod and other ROAR classes they are not legal.
even though they are legal there are rules to modifications to the body. I broke 2 rules. I made "adkistments" to allow less of a parachute effect and allowed air to enter through the top for additional cooling. People were complaining IF I entered the race that day. I opted out.

Wow, is that a Yok? That is a direction I see things going. I love my 06, but can't see high end stuff using a gearbox. Very cool. I like that LRP power supply too.

now supplanted by the Kinetic (has timing etc).
Recently they redrew the old into GTB2 for
blinky nontiming spec racing... it's smaller,
lighter, etcetc... & damned good value IMHO.
Havoc is Novak's budget range when GTB was expensive.
It "may" do 3S but also high risk of magic smoke escaping.
No longer as good value with GTB2 out now
especially if u only run 2S.
Black Ballistic motor is current range, there's still
some Velociti silver cans being sold but they aren't
too shabby either.... can't take off sensor lead
but also it's 1/2 the # of connectors that can shake loose.
