With a Capricorn car I can guarantee you that stripping a gear is impossible.
Or you have to forgot to put in your engine bolts like I did, then it will strip after a couple of laps.
I was curious to find out if I would be able to strip a gear so I ran the same set of gears for almost all my testing days at my home track. At the end the pinion looked like this and still no stripping occurred:

Regarding the MTX-5, I would consider putting a track rod or brace between the radio tray mount and the two speed axle mount. It's not normal for the chassis to flex under braking. Of course this is also aided by the orientation of the rear brake lever. Some time ago I've seen pictures of Tironi's MTX-5 (now driving Capricorn) who had a long track rod between the radio tray and rear bulkheads.

from reading the text in the news feed it sounds like what Mugen is implying is upper alloy baulkheads are now standard in the kit .....i thought they already were?

so is there no change to the alloy top baulkheads?

Mugen website has no info ont he upgrades except pics

Here is stiffner I made and will allow the chassis to flex side ways still. Have not tried it yet or ran the car. Fort Myers will be the first race in 3 weeks.

I can use a eyelet that can not pop off in a wreck, but I should not hit anything anyways or that's my fault. I made so it does not strain the bulkhead or bent them under impact.

Do you check it with your clutch?

it's quite frustrating visiting Mugen's site most manufacturers would describe what the differences are, or place a picture of the old and new part...Mugen's site is very poorly designed, no information and the Bulletin board is filled with spam posts...so they don't even have info there about any new parts they release.

for example, the optional brake pads...there is no description of what the difference is with these pads over the stock pads, i had to check this forum for the info.

can you explain how you attached the rear link behind the 2 speed shaft?

is this a peice fabricated by you, or is it something stock, people can buy?

i can't see in the pictures, but it looks like the peice behind the 2 speed shaft is screwed into the chassis is this right?
