Hey Henry: I JUST found the lipo for the starter box. I will bring both to the race this weekend if you still want it.

Default Robert Pietch interwiew

Hi all.

I don´t have any issues with MTX5 gears. Only one stripping and it was gear mesh too big. My fault.

Here goes an interwiew with Robert Pietch (first part in italian then the english transation):

Cheers

Interesting little drops of info in that interview.

We knew about Mugen experimenting with plastics for the gears, Rob had mentioned that on facebook not that long ago, new chassis makes sense, maybe they will try a thicker plate to address one issue there, engine mount also makes sense, as it's been said there is a critical factor there with alignment, so maybe they will do a one part mount or something.

I still think much of the issue has been blow out a little more than it deserves to have been, I have two of the first gen kits now, and I'm still not really 'that' worried about the issues.

Only thing that worries me, it's it a prime weekend weather wise for racing, and I have to force myself to not work on my cars to get race ready, because I need more rest time to get over my bronchitis.

I'm going to get straight to the point.....here is the good news...just finished the Xray race in so Cal there were 3 mtx5 drives....2 made the A main an the other in the B..... an could have bumped up...but it was human error!!! All three driver had an thicker chassis or a brace an one both....the best news of the week NO ONE STRIPPED A GEAR!!! I think the solution is in the stiffness of the rear of the chassis in conjunction wit the stiffness of the 2 speed shaft holder also....so start there an try to enjoy your 5......
