i was about to say this to you bob but, you realised yourself..... the world doesn't revolve around the USA

this is probably why they release it in December, it's probably a smart move with the company probably picking up more buyers because less people worldwide race around this time, (therefore people prepared for the new race year by buying new gear) and tend to get more into regular racing after the holiday seasons. plus with christmas they pick up a few buyers of the kit due to the presents season.

i predict that the "multi surface" thingo is an adjustable top deck possibly similar to the BMI one with the movable disk, and the alloy uprights for the top deck will be included with the kit this time around along with the battery strap.

The FK04 came around may 04, the 05 came march 05, the T2 will come this december. If they kept the 9 month cycle there would be a chance that the next update will come around next year september

I think the US market is in the focus of Xray more and more. This is a huge market and Xray got very popular in the last couple of years...

Xray has been VERY popular, here in the states and for more than the last couple of years. I, also, think Xray should release new kits closer to the beginning of the indoor season. They opened RC AMERICA for a reason - didn't they?

Page 3
My son and I just got FK05's less than 2 months ago, and now theyre allready outdated and relegated to "page 3" WOW
The only new posts about FK05's are on the For Sale thread

Still a great car, and after switching from 415's I'm just thrilled. No more suspension blocks to buy, no more LW susp peices to scrounge for, no more MS and now MSX upgrades to get a second mortgage for!! Not to mention carbide diff and thrust balls.

The quality and ease of maint is enough to keep me in the Xray camp for a long time. Cant beleive that all the hopups needed were a battery strap and multi diff. Everything comes with this car and for a LOT less than an optioned Tamiya.
Plus the best handling out of the box car ever made.
Thanks Xray !

FYI,

One-way / Carpet / Foam Setup update

"...results were noticeable with the rear end transitioning a hair quicker through the chicane..."

dun worry jones,

i just got a 05 for a steal, was on the way to get the refine2 but what the heck....you can have the best, the newest.........but ultimately...you still need the skill of driving to bring out the best in the car........give hara, reinhard or masami any car and they will excel........
i will sit out and wait for the 07 model or any newer car platform since all of them have the same design right now

Not worried
Just makes it easier (meaning a LOT cheaper) to get 2 more cars to use for asphalt and leave the carpet cars together. Plus all those left over spares and hop ups.
