14mm in front of the bumper, but on the R11 just mount it where the dimples are.

Just a quick question on setup -

What effect will it have on the car if I change the position of the rear upper arm on the uprights?

Thanks!

If you add more shims, it will rotate more. Meaning more steering.
If you lower it (less shims), the car will have more rear traction, but it will have less steering...

Guys, I am just in the process of building up the rear end of my new 966.

Is it correct for the rear axle to have movement of about 1mm side to side? Seems as if the bearings need to be wider.

Thanks!

It should always have a little play, 1mm seems to be a lot, if the bulkheads are already installed in the chassis and the play still that much, you can add some shims.

there should be a 1mm shim that goes between the pin and the bearing.......it shouldnt be real tight, but u should be able to move it ever so slightly
