Dave: TCS is coming up in oz soon... 23turns only (new rule for gt1 here in oz). Was wondering how do the newest tamiya 23ts compare against each other?

thanx...

Can you share the speed secret?

as far as the RZ goes.. I know if a few tricks but it will not come near 40000 RPM... the most I have been able to get from the RZ is about 37000 ish

what voltage was this at?

The new RZ is more RPM based, while the TZ is more of a torque motor, from what I understand. Also, the RZ has laydown brushes while the TZ has standup brushes.

Default LR AND SR YOKOMO"S

Hi guys,

Is there any differnce between the LR and SR in the yokomo range, besides the brushes? are the cans different? or maybe the arms?

Cheers Damien

The Yokomo SR and LR are pretty much the same motor.. Both of them have a 3mm core rotor with 6 ports and the can has the same magnet...it's just that the endbell is different ...AKA Laydown vs Standup these motors seem to like the new 3600 batteries better than the 3300 GP cells..?? but the ST and LT like the GP 3300 cells better.. kind of weird.. but I can turn faster laps with the SR and LR with the Sanyo 3600..?? don"t ask

Dave, I got the handout motor for the TCS and am tuning it. Love the brushes you sent me. I've discovered that they work better after the cross sectional serrations are almost gone.

a couple drops of tribro and wipe the brush off when you are breaking in to brushes and they will rock

Glad that you like them ...but if you like those you will love the newer ones with more silver

I haven't received the motor you sent me yet. Since, I have the spec motor, I am going to focus on that. When I get yours, I'll return it to you.

Very recently in Japan there was a benchmark test on the new Sanyo 3600 and GP3300 in comparison. The results shows that the Sanyos perform better and higher voltage than the GPs at 20A discharge which is suitable for Stock Racing. GPs shows more performance at 30A discharge and this would appeal to boys running modified.

So guys...racing Stock...23T...Sanyo is ur cells I'm getting 2 myself. and stick to ur GPs if you're running modified.
