Default Sc4x4 battery

Guys we run 10 minute mains at our local 1/8th tracks so I'm concerned about run time with my Tekin Pro4 4000/RX8 setup. My truck hasn't arrived yet so I don't know how large a pack I can fit. This is the pack I want:

http://www.rcplanet.com/Orion_Carbon...p/ori14042.htm

Can anyone comment on the fitment of this pack?

Default SC10 4x4 with a Traxxas Velineon motor

I really need some help:

Currently, I have a SC10 4x4 with a Traxxas Velineon motor/ ESC setup using the optional 18t pinion from my Slash 4x4 and AE's 32P spur gear. The problem is that the ESC and motor are running extremely HOT (motor is about 220 F & ESC 154 F). I'm guessing my gearing is the problem. What would you suggest I use instead? By the way, I am using a 2s lipo to power truck.

Thanks,
JD

You will have no problem fitting the battery in dimension wise(just checked my pack with my caliper, it has the sam dimensions). It may be a little trick getting it in and out with the wires hardwired to the case like that though. go with a pack with bullet terminals if you can.

As far as making a 10 min main, you will not have issues like the durango or losi with the pro 4. The last 10 min main i ran in, used 4700mah from my pack on a medium large 1/8 track with mid to low 30s laps, using the pro4 4000kv/xerun 120amp geared 14/58 with turbo and boost , so...... and i was usig the High Velocity Racing pack which are an awesome pack.

Hopefully my answer helped

Can anybody confirm if the stock SC10 4x4 KMC wheels will fit a Slash 2WD with the Protrak suspension, without any clearance issues and also if these wheels would be ROAR legal?

Very helpful thank you! You hit a sore spot on the DESC410 and it's limited pack configuration. That's my only gripe with the truck. You have to be spot on with your run times or you want be finishing the race. Luckily it only got me once but once bitten is twice shy. I'll keep it until I decide if the SC10 is the right truck for me.

The durango is a awesome truck, but like you said..., unfortunatly it is limited by batteries. Marcus and I saw that first hand with Ryan Lutz how the pro 4 can consume some serious amps.... he had to limit his throttle to 50%ish to keep from dumping in a 10 min main, he had to run literally 3-4 secs slower a lap to finish, and he was still fast as hell.

If you have any qustions about getting a setup just ask, you may get multiple answers, but the truck can be setup many different ways. Unfortunaly the truck with the out of the box setup isnt that great, so dont be discouraged, the truck can be very quick!

There's no need to raz a guy for asking a question. After all he asking about wheels that for the SC10 4x4. Some people just need to learn to not have reply to every post. If you don't know the answer simply don't post. Graze over it and answer a post you can. God forbid a Slash owner dare post a on our beloved SC10 4x4 thread. Rant done.
Now to answer your question...yes, it will fit. I throw all my used race wheels on my son's Slash with the Protrac suspension mod with no worries.

If they are too wide, doesn't that slash have 5mm wide hexes? Can't you switch to narrower hexes?

Hey guys, Getting my first SCT4x4 its the biggest class at the track so thought I would give it a go.

I run M11x and Air servos and REC, question is what is a good place to get good but not over the top Batts, Speedo and ESC? I race locally and here and there not trying to win the nats, just want to be competive but not have more into this than my nitros...haha So whats a good place? Thanks
