They are leaking form the bottom cap. I also used shock snot on the rings.

There is a guy that is always at the local gun shows that has a both of tons of dental pics, forceps, etc. for cheap so I stock up when I go.

I can't believe you're on your third bumper... Mine's the original from release day, and it's as strong as day 1. I go to a BMX track when the real track gets boring and flip this thing, land on the lid, front/rear bumper 10 feet in the air, hit trees.. etc. And Not a damn thing has broke.

Hmmmm. My shocks dont leak one bit. The only time I have seen the shock leak is if the shock cartridge isnt screwed tight enough into the shock body. are you tightening the bottom cap tight?

I'm on my second skid plate. Where it initially bends down coming off the front of the bumper formed a crease that finally gave way. It didn't need to be changed, but after 7 months it was worth the $10 to make it look fresh again.

The funny thing is, the first one lasted 6 months. It literally wore out on the bottom so that the front hing pin holder was exposed. the second one cracked the first day out! Crazy huh?! I boiled the skid part this time, hopefully it doesnt crack!

They'll empty themselves in a single raceday!

I've got a rebuild kit for one, but looksl ike I'm going to be buying two brand new diffs before the next big race....then doubleshimming the outdrives....


Now THAT's what I'm talking about! I'm going to add some of those to my next order...even if they don't work, I'd rather spend $3 on something I can use for multiple purposes/rebuilds than buy an extra rebuild kit just to get a spare set of washers!

I was stuck with trying to buy the rebuild kit as well.
Someone mentioned those Protek's a while back - I forgot who posted it - thanks
I got a set but I haven't had a chance to rebuild the diffs yet.
Not sure - but it might just be a bit thicker than the stock washer.
If it is maybe we can use just 1 protek washer.
I will rebuild the diffs this weekend and see how it goes.

Yes, it is tight. I think I will probably just use a little bit of silicon caulk to seal the bottom cap.

I had a similar problem with mine when I put them together, you might have cross threaded the bottom cap. Were you using the shock tools that came with it to put them together?

Don't you think it may be time to revisit the idea of using Shorty Packs now that we have the new Exotech chassis?

The possibilites for redistributing weight boggle the mind!

Be aware, ROAR is starting to nip those shorty packs in the butt. Just put out rules against building chassis's that support the short pack. (Losi 22 series is going to be pissed) Who knows what's next.

Yes. I did use the included wrench but the shock came put together. I only took them apart after they first leaked (when they were first installed).
