The SC10 4x4 is the only one that I know of that uses metric hardware, on road stuff might as well, new releases most likely will also. Bearings are another story being that they use both metric and SAE on the T/B 4.1 models (SC10 too)

would there be any reason why the thrust spring would be missing from my ball diff? i purchased the ball diff used for $15 out of a part out sell.... i threw it in my car and it has been fine. tonight i decided to take it apart and look at it, and when rebuilding i was following the instructions from the online manual and it was saying to install the spring i do not have. other than replacing it is there anything i should do or a reason for it missing? i have raced it three times and like i said it has done fine.

Yes, and it's long gone. Had nothing to do with Associated, it was an individual racer that put it together and maintained it.

You mean when I thought those and only those 4 screws were metric because my 2mm fit so well? Yup, remember that. and I still don't own a 5/64 wrench..don't need it.

Most use a 1 1/2oz in ft of transmission, 1/4 oz on the back sides of battery & a 1/4 oz next to the receiver..

When using the new 8m chassis also include a 1/4oz on the ft sides of battery & a 1/2 oz right in ft of servo ....

i could be wrong, but i swear i read in an article(i think rc car action magazine), that putting weight in those triangles can make the the rear traction a little worse, and i recall removing those weights and the car had seemed to handle better. I know it said to put weights right infront of the transmission for the most gain on rear end traction.

More weight = more side bite, less forward bite

Less weight = less side bite , more forward bite

more weight on the transmission = more rotation
