they are doing it to get more top end out of the motor, 81/20 is what you would run on like a 6.5...

at the top level cav runs 81/22 on a 7.5.

Hey guys new here to the b4.1 just coming of the 22. I was wondering what things i should try to get more steering/eliminate push out of my buggy. My setup is mostly Ryan Mailfield Reedy Race but running 35 in front 32.5 in rear with silver springs. Any suggestions would help.

Just reading this and have never asked... what are the differences between the 2 hole and 3 hole caster blocks? Is this it more steering?

Where do you buy the 2 hole all of the ones I have are 3 hole.

Thanks!

the post above yours will help and running less toe in the rear will also...try 2.5 block instead of 3.0 and use .5 hubs on the kit..

I keep seeing this in the setup sheets, and I'm also wondering...

The outer hole (closest to the front wheels) on the 3 hole blocks is what has been added. The inner two holes are the same as the old "two hole" caster blocks.

The 2 holes are made of the older stiffer plastic.

i know i am not a regular in this room but was wondering if some one could help with the question? i am learning with this car and mostly have ran nitro so was wondering if the spring was left out for a reason.
thanks

I would quadruple check that it is not still in the outdrive. Ive never heard of going springless in the diff, on or off road, but I am by no means an expert.
Maybe you just stumbled on to the super secret trick that all the pros have been trying to keep secret for so long! ...or maybe the previous owner just forgot to put it in.

So they would not work or will they . If I'm correct they took the three Hole Caster blocks from the T4 .

Those plastic t-nut wings aren't going to hold the halves together well enough for it to work without the spring...

The only other possibility is that they used a super long t-nut, like an ATD or longer, but I have no clue how you'd adjust it or keep the screw from backing out.
