SC10 4x4 Thread

ThunderbirdJunkie had his shaft pinned. The ladies loved it, but it dribbled out the sides when he peed.
That's awesome of you, CS. ThunderbirdJunkie may send you his spare rear topshaft just in case he comes across a screaming deal on another 4w SC10 he can't turn down.

And yeah. It gives me something to do. Otherwise I pull my Sc10 down and tear it apart for no reason.

BLBound and others - Here are some pics of the RX8 under the belt.
Had to dremel the cage and the rear chassis brace to clear the RX8's fins and rear solder post.
Paired the RX8 with a 1410 and running inline saddle packs. Chassis has 3.5oz of added weight.
Don't mind the positioning of the packs. I messed up a bit on lining up the countersunk holes - lol.
Car weight - no body
FL 580g - FR 581g
RL 709g - RR 707g
Ran the Saddles before up front (Left/Right).
Balance was nowhere this close.
btw - running the pin mod, clutch basket (HT/Reg/HT) and overdrive front pulley - Night and day difference

I did a bunch of holes on that chassis for inline and side by side setup to test which will work best for me.
I think this is the best setup. I will end up getting another center chassis and redo the inline holes - hope to get it lined up properly this time

The rig looks good though. I like using the pockets on the side of the chassis as weight "pouches". :P

I figured I can use the Saddles lined up like a stick pack in my 2wd SC if needed.
The Nano-Tech's have not given me any problems. I have at least 20 cycles on 2 sets. Much better performance with my RX8/1410.
Yup - the weight pouches are great. You can take it out anytime for quick adjustments and not mess around with the doublesided tape.

I had 3 Gens ace that I used for my 2wd SC and SC10 4x4. Two puffed. No more Gens ace for me.

Man. LHS employment is a blessing and a curse.

Cool...thanks for showing off your set up! So I'm guessing there's no need for the fan with a 1/8 speedo? I understand that you had to take it off to fit under the belt cover. Now at least I know it's possible.

It didn't matter how I geared the 1410.
Temps on the RX8 would never go over 135.
I will upgrade to a Pro4-4000kv soon.
I hope the temps on the RX8 stays around 140~

I finally got my SC10 4x4 together and raced at Washtenaw RC Raceway. All I can say is wow. I do like this truck. thanks to Krio for some set-up advise and to all on this thread. I did not have a clutch basket but I did use Garodisks from RCshox.
After all the talk on here about the slipper I assumed that I would be battling slipper issues all day. After some practice and the first heat I torn the slipper down and noticed that the Front slipper was wearing near the shaft. My thrust bushing was protruding a little past the slipper plate such that the Garodisk was not contacting. I probably had very little front wheel drive.
So I removed the Garodisk from the Front slipper and replaced it with a HD pad. This solved my problem and I was getting much better punch. I do not check the garodisk yet on this I well check.
I'm not sure I will get a clutch basket since the Garodisks work so well with my 4.5 Ballistic 550.
