Thanks Monkey & Indy! I think I got the "Spirit" of VTA just need to work on the painting technics a bit more.

Just remember its pretty hard to see small paint blemishes as its flying around the track

And, once it comes back from flying around the track, even if it had no blemishes, it will at that point!

There is nothing quite like the sound of a touring car hitting a plywood wall at full speed. Certainly gets your attention! Gets the hobby shop some parts sales too!

I lost the screws that Protoform sent for the nose, and all I had was...those ugly white ones. I'd like to have spent more time detailing it, but then it occurred to me it only was going to be nice till the first time I take it to the track.

We start picking cotton on Monday, I'm AWOL from, well, everything for the next 15-20 days.

I think I like shooting pictures in direct sunlight better than in my kitchen. Next time I'll get set up to shoot them at daybreak so I don't get any shadows.

I would like to paint my HPI '68 Camaro like the car on this picture, could you let me know the name of the paints I should use to make it look as close as possible to the real car...

What type of paint is the best to use on the HPI vintage wheels ?

I need to paint a set gold -- after I strip the chrome off with Easy Off oven cleaner.

Tamyia Paints for Plastic should be great Even regular Lexan paint should hold up

I was wondering though if the Pactra lexan paint would "attack" the plastic, as they are laquer paints ??

buy white ones and rit dye them... Only thing that holds up well
