Anybody ever file a claim for warranty? I had a 1258 go out and it was only 1.5 months old. EPA set correctly and everything. I emailed Savox about it and have heard nothing. Anybody have a warranty claim and how did it go?

i use both, 2 x 7955 in my practice buggy & 1267-1268 in my race buggy, i like the fact that the savox have steel gears as opposed to ti coated alloy of the hi-tec. i use 1450mah LiFe & the power drain is very similar from both. the steel gears won me over for the race buggy as it's one less point of failure, & the 1267-1268 are lipo safe as well.

take it back to were u bought it & they will look after it for u. savox are very good with their warranty as long as it's not the users fault.

I am hoping. Bought it online from Amainhobbies.com. They are 3,000 miles away from where I live. I guess I will have to call on Monday and see what they say.

Have the 1256/1258 servos in my buggy.
The steering one though seems to stop working properly after 5 minutes on my JQ buggy. At first I though it might be a dud life pack, so bought a new nimh pack to go in it. Charged it up and went for a run today, only to find that after 5 minutes the steering was gone. Is this the sign of a servo about to give up completely, or are there some other things I need to check? The steering is nice and free with no binding, so it shouldnt be under excessive load.
Any thing I should check, and can anyone diagnose my problem outlined above?
edit: I check the spacing and its got great clearence above the chassis, so it shouldnt be heat related either.

This happened to me with a Speccy SR3000. My old savox never needed it...but plug this baby in and it works straight away.

When you mount the servo horn on the servo are you suppose to to angle it at all? Cant remember which servo I had that required it to be offset to the right about 15 degrees when looking at the gear from the front.

I am thinking of buying on of these
1257TG for a 10th scale TC (electric).
From what I have read they seem to be the best choice.
I have an airtronics receiver, will they plug right into it with out have to cut or shave anything (think futaba). Also, How hard/difficult would it be to shorted the wires of this servo ?

Ps: I am also thinking of building a Tamiya MAN truck, I wonder what would be a good servo (steering and gear box) I guess I would need something a little stronger and not so fast for the gear box but probably the same 1257TG for steering.

I think the best choice for your TC is a sc-1267mg nice and fast and reliable, and you do not have shave anything. It just plugs in, Also you do not have to buy a voltage protector for your airtronics reciever, as there is no known issue with voltage when using Airtronics equipement.

thank you. I must've missed that servo. I ended up getting a 1257TG. for now.
Haven't driven the car but its quite fast from the bench test.
Can you tell me more about the voltage issue you mention. I know it doesn't apply bit I would like to know as general knowledge.
