Hey Marcus you still reccomend polishing your 2 stages. The fit was not super tight against shock body or is it for better flow or something

hey u guys running this motor what pinion size are u running??
im going on a loose large track whit alot off big jumps and alot off lower troutel punch running ( i hope u get what i mean) ballitisk 4,5T and planing to run the 62T spur gear 32P im getting 11,12,13 T pinion for a start. and what temps are u getting ??

Just get a AE hex ball end tool for the pinion!

start with the 12 tooth and if you feel like your having to run up to make a jump try the 13 tooth and temps very depending on outside temp but anywhere from 115 to 145 normally good luck

Cut a small notch in the belt cover center divider and it is much easier.

the novak pinion is tapered on the end so I slide the pinion on until the end of motor shaft is even with the botom of the pinion taper and it is perfect

Run a 14t pinion and it goes on the motor before i put it in the truckh

Anyone running front 19t overdrive pulley with the pinned slipper? Anyone have thoughts... good/bad?

thats for the HB series only and i am not sure if i am goign to even make them that way yet, still testing!

Didnt care for the overdrive/pinned had even less turn exit steering.


OK guys more testing today and i am glad to say that i knocked off another 2 tenths off of quick time and i managed to do it a handful of times. so i started with a 24.9 a few weeks ago and today i blasted a 23.8! changes since last time out were RPM arms, chassis brace and the new Tekin 4000kv motor ( which is INCREDIBLE). am headed out with the fam for the evening but will chime in tonight with the final setup! truck is amazing!

I've been considering trying a 4 pole motor...I was thinking of trying the new viper copperhead series motor (4500 I think). Being sensorless I know it won't be as smooth as the tekin, but I'm hoping it will be close & it won't be $140!

I know the Sensored motors are smooth and great. But I have used sensorless for 2 years and in Short course, I just can't tell the difference when it gets down to it with a 4x4 SC. I punch that throttle and the sensorless picks up and before it can cog, it's rolling. I love my 1415 castle, and it's smaller brother, 1410. Sensorless works for me. No matter the job.

Edit: I'm a hard running Driver. So that "style" is definitely shielding myself from the less responsive Sensorless motors. I understand.
