SC10 Thread

Running a stock sc10 rtr with a 3300 Reedy motor. Looking for a little more power to make our track's triple. Want to use with the stock esc. Most folks are running the Castle 3800 combo but I want to keep the cost down. Any suggestions on an affordable motor that is also reliable? Thanks

I needed to get new tires and wheels so the hazard was a natural buy. I can post when I test them. It will be a while.

i run a med to high grip track were it is a little rutted but smooth, the tire wear is kind of alot, pair of m3 holeshots last 3 race nites on the 2wd buggies so tireware is essential, the track gets a small small layer of loose dirt on top, what tires should i run on the sc?

If it's wet, I run goose bumps.
If they blow it off, I can run barcodes in the rear.
IMO tirewear is not essential in a racecar that wants to be fast. If you want to not pay the tire bill and the guy next to you wants to buy tires that last 1/3 less and everything else is the same, he's gonna win.
Just sayin'.

Just got my sc10, thanks desertraton.
Two question. I have a 645hitec, ace1015, and a jr8711. Which one of these would you use??? Also, I have a 87 tooth spur using a Stock Club Race esc and a 17.5 version 3 motor, both speedpassion. What pinnion would I use for the motor?? What if I add timing on the end bell, what is a good starting point???
Ok, 3 questions. Carpet, what do you guys recommend for shock oil???

I run 26/75 with a no timing speedo and about 30 degrees in my Novak motor at a small track and a 28 on a big track, so if you aren't into the Stratosphere with motor timing I'd start at 26 and see how it goes.
Carpet - I run X factors on the left side, a team purple RF, and a XX pink on the RR. BSR compounds.

You were talking about oval right? People race off road on carpet???!!!!?? I'm in the worst part of California where even in the dead of winter we can race outdoor almost year round.
If I could get a indoor carpet road course that could stay in business locally, I'd be running 1/12 scale right now.

Under those conditions I would run Jconcepts Double Dees in green compound.

I've never seen a set before. I know they claim they make them, but can you actually get them?
Three race days on a set of tires doesn't seem excessively fast to me. I can remember running two heats and wasting a set of tires. Same for foams on road course pan cars back in the day.
