Ya, I think Truggy in general got a big hit as a racer's 2nd class when both Brushless E platforms or Corr took their place. We have seen this in the Houston area as Nitro buggy guys now run an E buggy instead of their Nitro truggy, or a Corr instead of the Truggy.

Billy said he had a hard time adjusting to the power the motors had since it was so different from nitro. He was either over or under jumping things. Basically he said he needs more practice. Most of the guys racing have a good 2WD finger and he lost that quite some time ago. Some of the top drivers drove the car after the race and said it was super easy to drive. I'm pretty sure his second main time was good enough for 4th in the a mains.

I don't know. Did he break down? I was looking at the results and it looked as if he ran pretty good laps.

Interesting, I can definitely understand the power issue. Can't wait to get my hands on this car.

Meh, I told you to have Billy send the car to me, and I'd run it and let you guys know if there were any problems.

I don't think so out of the box but I'm sure a simple mod will make it work

I have never owned an xray but Serpent is a high quality car/truck. See who has the best parts support in your area and go from there. If parts need to be ordered then study both or flip a coin.

XRAY kits have the nicest & highest quality parts and the material used on the drivetrain components last forever. They have had their fair share of bearing issues that have been overcome in the 11' version, but these changes are not on the 808e version. I'm not saying they are the best handling car out there, but the workmanship and quality are the best.

You should easily be able to fit two 3S softcase lipos in the battery trays. Hyperion 3S 3300 lipos are actually smaller than 2S ROAR standard hardcase lipos. You will probably not be able to fit a 3S hardcase lipo. But, there's never been any need for hardcase lipos in escale.
