That's what I run. I have a ton of usable rip with this combo. I added another fan for the motor, but after ten minutes the hottest I've got it is 120 degrees. Fitting the fan under the belt tunnel is a little tough, but not a deal breaker.

So, no problems, and I've never been passed in a straight line with the 4.5 550. Ever. I even run the kit pinion that Novak sent in the AE package.

I am about to buy one and wanted to share my list so far. Is there anything else I should need that is a must part. No light weight or racer parts cause I just race in my backyard track and bash. Since the coupon code is 599$ and save 150$, I still have a little left. Trying to stay around 450-500$ total and shipping of course is free. Let me know what you think.
Thanks

Do you have tires?

If not, get at least a set of AKA Enduro in soft compound. Maybe medium, depending on hoy many clay you run.

ok I decided on the novak havok system with the 550 4.5. I also found a lipo that is a 5000 mah 40c, will that battery get the job done? Also I need to order pinion gears. Confused here, Do I need like the 32 pitch novak mod 1 5mm's? If so, what number of teeth should I start with

I would get the AE hexes over Tekno so you don't have to play wiith shims. Pick up Mac The Knife's clutch basket.

Hit the big outdoor track yesterday. Truck was feeling real nice. Using the RCShox 2-stage pistons made a world of difference.

Running 30f/25r, yellow springs F, blue R. Stock size holes in the pistons, middle tower, outer arm. 2.0 sway F, no sway rear. Removed saddle packs and went back to stick packs.

I was also using the 19t front pulley, makes a nice difference w/ the extra front pull.

Truck was fast and planted. Would settle on approach instantly. Had excellent rebound and would stay in control through the fast rough sections.

The 2-stage pistons are awesome. So much better feeling than the stockers. I was also running the RCSHOX slipper pads. Never had to touch the slipper all day! Super consistent slip and no fade.

All in all... RCSHOX 2-stage pistons and slipper pads are the bomb. Saddle pack set-up, not so much. My truck and me work a ton better w/ the stick packs, for whatever reason.....

Not yet but I will find those here since deals can be made. No clay for me, just regular dirt.

I moved my battery to the center line so left and right weights are the same with a rear weight bias. Really works well for me. I also tried 37.5wt oil front and rear with the 2 stage pistons. Our track is tight blue groove with no big jumps and heavier oil keeps it so planted it's crazy. Cut 1.5 - 2 sec off my lap times for a 25-30 sec lap track.

Skip the tekno's and just get these: and save 4 bux

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXBLGJ&P=ML

And skip those Robinson pinions. those are not correct.

here:
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXBAWD&P=7
and
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXBAWE&P=7

With the money saved add frt and rear arms and extra 62T spur.

I'd also get an extra belt.(not that there is a problem but its a good spare to have.)
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXBATJ&P=ML

I just broke one of these last night: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...1051&search=Go

I haven't broke one yet. but after 4months they seem to have a slight bow in them.

I'd throw in some diff seals and cva pins.

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXBARE&P=7

2 or 4 of these:

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXXCX4&P=7

And you might need a servo extension wire.

Tires??

I would buy this combo the (the 3119) because comes with a free 12 tooth pinion - that I run everywhere.

http://www.teamnovak.com/products/br...550/index.html

Not to give you something else to consider, but you could run this and save a few bucks:

http://www.teamnovak.com/products/br...550/index.html

The only thing you are giving up in the GTB2 vs the Havoc that you might possibly miss is the timing function but only on a giant 1/8 scale track, and the fan.
