So i have been messing w/ my setup and im finally happy w/ my suspension and i put proline calibers on the rear w/ a 7" jc wing and I really like how my B4.1 is handling now. I have also got my gearing set so that i can clear all the jumps on the track but still have enough top speed that the back straight isn't a life time. But I've got the rtr so i have a not so awesome esc and motor. I don't have a temp gun so i do the 4 seconds finger on the motor thing and i dont think my car would be at acceptable temps if i were to run a 7 min main. even just running in the neighborhood the motor is pretty hot at 5 min. and practically fire at 6 1/2min. ( I know... I'll get a temp gun soon) Btw im running outdoor in vegas, so ambient temps are well over 100f normally.
So on to my point it seems that most people in this thread are firm tekin fans. I'm not doubting i would just like to know why. Or why you like whatever else. As i will be looking to put a new esc and motor in my car soon. also will the better esc and motor be faster at the same kv? I dont really care about more power i just want lower temps and longer run times with at least the same power.
Thanks in advance!

Hey guys, im new to the AE team and just finished my b4.1 they sent me, now was gonna start on the t4. The B4 pretty much matches cavs worlds carwith the long chassis, lunsford screws, ti ballstuds, Weight in the cornors,1/2 oz rear, and 1/12 near rec, ect.. Should i miminc the the T4.1? also i noticed you could change to quick change rims what do i need for that?, and i drill the "0" rear shock hole also right,, but whats the baseline starting setup and parts i need for it....lastly whats need to convert the t4.1 to the sc10 FT or the opposite?..

o do you think he blue alum shock parts (lower caps, spring collars from the TC6 will fit the offroad 1/10 v2 shocks instead ofthe black ones..??

t4.1 box setup with kyosho springs in the rear.
use the ballast weight, 1/4 each corner, half behind receiver.
I use 1 pad front 1 pad+1 small pad rear for battery.

That setup has worked on about 5 different tracks for me... never changes.

Did you get a cut chassis or does it look like a production piece?

Shouldn't you be asking AE since your on the team instead of on here and possibly getting inaccurate info?

"New to the team" could mean things other than what you are thinking. I can order a car direct from AE and say "the one they sent me" as well. Either way I'm just saying. If he is a new team driver that's great but I would still find it very odd to have to ask set-up questions on an open forum

Just playing a little devils advocate...

Does any one else find it disturbing when Ae "Team" drivers have access to the latest information for tuning their B-4, yet the Ae customer who also needs can't get the same from Ae themselves ?

I know Ae could send memo's and share this information , I just wonder why Ae is not sharing ?

!st of alli donthaveto explain myself to you guys. You Are more than welcome to call949-544-7500ext 2 and ask for lorna and ask for your self.. Or matter a fact ask brent! o but wait allmy contacts are at the proline race this weekend!and figured i get a head start on build on of the kits as ijust finished my B4.1.. live on the east cost and electric 1/10 is dead around here so not to many of my team mates(Mike Gay,Andy Castellini,Jeff cuffs,MIke Gee,Vinny nocella has been racing 1/10 truck and havent in a long time....

All i figuredi do was ask some simple questions andhope fore some answers then i could tell weather or not what i have to do!. And like i said i recnetly signed with AE/LRP/REEDY/JC coming from 9 plus years of running for losiso ya i have no current, or oldinfo to go off of! Plus the Blue shock parts off the TC6 to fit the 1/10 electric cars was just a thought as i havent even thought about ording my tc yet!

Also let me say this, you guys are the 1st to askquestion on a open forum and expect answers from the drivers. dont the team driver need help some time to...

Hey Blue Screw,

I took a look at the TC6 manual and when compared to the T4.1 manual it looks like you could use the spring perch between the two. The B4.1 sits taller overall.

As for everything else, I don't know. I don't have any more on-road parts to try.

Any word on when the new long t plates are coming out? I think it's rad that I can swap chassis lengths back and forth just by changing plates.
