I'm going to assume that any kind of "GREASE" will work. I too am going to start doing this. It never even occured to me this could be a problem.

Yes, I would say always taking your engine apart is not a real good idea, unless you just want to do it for fun. I look at the dis-assembly of an engine as a process, and a serious commitment. If you take an engine apart, you have to take it all the way apart, clean and lube all the parts in a sterile environment, and then carefully put it back together. Not something I take lightly, and I have had engines run a long long time without being opened up. Just clean the outside and take care of the air filter and clutch.

Your conrod doesn't need to be changed, just race and have fun.

What total size headshims you use (mine came with somes and the total is 0,9mm) i am using 30% nitro , 2058 pipe and 7,0mm carb restrictor

also how about your settings for low needle , high...,(of corse settings for use in race) i know this settings can vary but its just to know if mine is so different....

I was wondering what will cause my Truhe Orion .21 motor to flame out after pit-stop?? It runs fine all race but after pit less than a min later it will flame. Any solution? Advice? Thanks

Calling all the people with the micheal truhe edition engine. I have a question when i was tearing down my motor. I noticed during the compression stroke the piston skirt totally clears the exhaust port about 1 mm maybe more. I am have tuning problems for a while. The motor only has 2 gals on it. There is no slop in rod, bearings are butter smooth. I have own alot of motors and never had a piston do this. The piston is great shape. And the skirt is not broken.

a piston skirt should not clear the exhaust port....have you broken your piston ?

I know this is Orion thread but my Werks B5 is doing the same thing. If anyone has a solution it would be cool or any ideas.

I think he may have modded (broken) the piston skirt off by
pulling the back plate off when the piston was at b.d.c., huh?

Piston is fine. The skirt is not broke.

That mean the engine is flooding out on refuel...Lean the needles slightly, use hotter glowplug, fill tank less......

take some pics if you could please.... The piston should not clear the exhaust port, so something is not right..
