I loved my B321 Factory team engines when I ran them. I would pick up whatever the newest 3 port engine is if I was going to buy a Orion buggy engine.
As far as vs the other brands, everyone is going to have a strong opinion towards whatever they run. I think all the current race engines are very capable. I had great luck with my orion engines, i ran them for two years. I changed over to a OS speed for this year and have been very happy with it as well. I probably wont be running them next year though due to the costs.
The orion had a bit more rip but the OS is smoother.

both seemed to give me about the same mileage. The 2058 was a bit smoother with a tab more top end (minimal really) and the 2013 had a bit more low end for me.

Do you know what current pipe is comparable to? The reason I'm investigating so much is i can get 3 brand new ones at 35 bucks each and i like the orion 2058 and 2057 on my alpha plus engines. .. not a 2013 though so I was seeing what it was close to as far as the current pipes go.

Not trying to step in and push anything. I was like you I ran Orion and loved the first one. I bought a Cody King WC engine and it was a joke. Gave Orion another shot with the next model 5 port team engine and it is a good engine. Only problem I have with Orion is SUPPORT, there is NONE. With my Cody King it would not even run a single tank without flaming. I emailed and messaged Orion and the only response I ever got was when I posted the problem to their Face Book page and they told me not to do that! To contact support not post to their page! They never responded, we ended up magna fluxing (aluminum version) the block there were cracks in the block, when it heated up they opened up. I sent photos to Orion guess what NO RESPONSE. I switched to OS and it is a great engine, I have also ran Alpha and Novarossi as well as RB and Werks. My engine now is based on customer support as well as it is one hell of an engine with a good price.
Oh I agree with you completely. There is absolutely zero support for any of their nitro products in the US. Its primarily why I left the orion engines. The engines are good, the support is just not there at all. Trying to find what parts fit what year engines is basically impossible.
I have been extremely happy with my Spec 2 speed. I also have been very happy with my super budget engine the nova P5
