IMO they are a must. They keep almost all of the mud/clay out of the hard-to-reach places on the rear arms. Will never run without them, well worth the $7.

Big difference with 2200 & 2650. If most of your tracks are big get the 2650, it has runs much higher rpms. 2200 much lower rpms but higher torq.

i would have to say that a castle 2200 is stupid fast , i have one , but tekin 1900 is more than anyone could want , so go with a tekin 1900 , then eventually get a tekin rx8 esc. trust me you will be way more happier with the performance and control .

I see four different position holes for the spoiler. Do the holes closer to the tires cause more down-force or farther cause more down-force? How far should the wing be from the rear shock for what situations?

Further back will give more rear down force & less up front. So if you need more steering move the wing towards the front.

I have the Tekin 1700 , and I would like to have a slightly higher kv (1900). With that said, I can keep right up with the nitros, even pass a few on the straights (with 19t pinion, temps after a full pack @ 155-165). Compared to the 2200 in my flux, I couldn't imagine having that much power on the track. The Tekin is so smooth out of the box, and the lower kv makes it really easy to be consistent. The 2200 almost surges throughout the power band. You might be able to tune that out with a clever throttle curve though. I have never run a 2650, but that just seems like way too much based on what the 2200 puts out compared to the 1700.

For track/racing use, I would have to recommend the Tekin 1900.

I'm not liking the motor mount. Who makes the best after-market mount?

my grid mount is incredible, if you run a tekin motor you can run 2 4mm screws and 3 3mm screw into the motor, incredibly secure and easy to use!

+1 for the Grid mount.

It looks to me like the difference is the inner pinion offers a higher pinion range? Other than that they are the same?

yup! i run the inner support with tekin 1900 and 19-20 pinion, you will need to get mod 1 short shank pinions because there is now a bearing around the motor shaft... check out grid's upgrade shock towers too, ordered mine about 2 weeks ago, hoping they'll show up today or tomorrow so i can find a good setup before next weekend's big race

I have the Grid Mount and the Elite RC mount. Both are great, but I like the Grid mount better. Yeah, the stock mount is a total POS.

I've got the new shock towers and my A-arms are modified. The suspension in the rear seems to be way too low at this point. Are there longer shock shaft ends that I should be using? Should I be using different rear shocks?

for you or anyone else that may have an elite mount they might want to get rid of (like if you bought the grid mount after buying the elite), please PM me. the elite mount is more what i'm used to (i have an SCTE) and i think i'd be more comfortable with that set up.
