No chassis flex front to back now. (Carbon fiber tube) I was surprised how much stiffer this makes the chassis. The belt tension now does not change when you try to flex the chassis.

Well in my garage. My local hobby shop had the rod. The ends are from Kyosho shocks the 3mm threaded inserts I made on my lathe. The threaded ends I cut from a long bolt. Just regular junk we all have in our RC box.

I only had to drill one hole in the back. I don't use an under tray so I removed the front body mount and attached it there.

If you remove your belt cover and try to push your shock towers together you will see how much flex this chassis has and how lose the belt gets. AND is most likely part of the belt problems some of us have. Now there is almost zero front to back flex.

This is just my first test part. Ideally I would use AE shock ends.

A friend of mine is making chassis braces just like that and selling them through:

OK, so, ThunderbirdJunkie got to inspecting and stuff...and bought another pair of the new slipper pads at the LHS. They definitely feel different (firmer, more coarse) than the old HT/non-white normal pads.

Not that you can tell anything from a picture, here's a picture!

Yes, just like when AE went from the white to yellow slipper pad a while back.

A team member told me that AE was going to change the pads.
They were also supposed to be a little thicker too. Are they?

They feel like it. Didn't really examine thickness. It's definitely a different material, though.
