I did..Just stuck my nose to it...I think the hole punching, drilling methods are better though bc you can make a more precise hole and you wont burn the foams which could be worst than having a small incision hole going through them..Trully though, I don't know for sure which is worst?

That seems like a cool way to get er done..So just use those small nail scissors that come in grooming kits right?
Yea, you can make a nice hole with them. Like a paper snowflake the kids make in school. :}

I can get one BNIB for real cheap (30% off retail price), the new ones with camo sprayed heatsink.

I'm not rough by any means, but the servo will work pretty hard, as the track has continuous subsequent turns.

I burnt down a Bluebird after 15 packs; I want this one to last at least a season (that is around a hundred packs).

I know it's made for touring, but will it work?

Thanks!
Yes it will. I use it in my SCTE. I am suprised it has lasted actually, but it has been fine, and lite

Remove the upper X ring, OR buy the trackstar.com O-rings, OR buy the trackstar.com O-rings and install one instead of two.

time for me to chime in about wheel venting.

i cut 4-6 little 'x's around the tire instead of punching holes. depending on some treads, i do 'U's instead. the cuts have no spreaded into a ripping problem at all. tires vent fine and have no dirt. i like this more than the holes since they dont scoop dirt in at all (doesnt matter since the dirt is gonna get shot out anyways), but hey, we're all entitles to preference.

and yes, any holes in the rim are taped and epoxied.

just finished our local big race of the year. tq'd and ran 2cd all thru the main.
1:30 left in the race, the fricken wheel fell off again

4 wheels came loose or stripped this weekend between me and my son. I'm running alu hex's and he's still stock with protrack wheels. just ticked me off.

we run a mix of trx and stock nuts(lhs is 1 hr away and not worth the gas to get more) now I'm told hpi nuts are the way to go.

done ranting, still finished 4th and my son got 3rd

I've not lost a wheel with the serrated nuts. And I feel your pain on no LHS, except the LHS I do have a forty five minute drive one way has nothing to buy that I need (not even paint), except they did have these axle nuts. Yay Traxxis.

If they are serrated, they are all pretty much the same so long as they are serrated.

Im still having some issues with the rear end coming around on me sometimes even in the straightaways it gets a bit wild. Im running 2.0 sways f/r, yellow springs front, blue rear springs. 30 wt front 25/rear. 5mm washers under front camber links, 7k weight diffs f/r 3/2 hingpin carrier in rear. Any reccomendations? It just gets squirly in the straightaways with a medium/high bite indoor clay track.

I believe when you run the protrack wheels, the nylock on the wheel nut dosent actually thread onto the wheel stud, which would explain your problem.
