I appreciate your innovation with the new towers. I haven't bought them yet, but I can appreciate your hard work.
But.... I wish you guys would come up with a solution for these piece of shiznit castor blocks. My castor bushings constantly fall out. They are a pain to set. I'm getting so frustrated with them I'm thinking of researching another 1/8th scale to run because this is SUCH a weak point on the Rc8be.
Are you guys in development of some new, and IMPROVED castor blocks that don't depend on these wretched bushings to function?

When I had that problem I cleaned the screw threads with alchol, then used red loctite. Never come off now.

If its the castor block, you can get new ones for like $5.00.
If its the metal knuckle, AE does offer aluminum ones. Here is a little hint for setting your bushings, we use it when the triangle gets rounded out. Flip the bushing so the flat, round side is toward the knuckle. Also, clean the threads out, and use threadlock for sure.
Hope this helps.

Definitely use the lower wing mount mod, its the best modification you can make to your RC8BE. The car jumps a million times flatter, and much more controllable in the air.

First, are you talking about the plastic castor block, or the metal knuckle?

Quick question. I have been running a Castle 1800kv (1512) motor paired with an MMP esc on 4 cells and was wondering if there is any negative affect running at a lower rpm. Technically 5s is best suited for that motor. Just wondering as it seems to run hotter on 4s than 5s or it's just me tripping on it.

If you run a lower voltage it has to draw more current (amps) to get an equal amount of power (watts) So when the current is higher you get more heat.. That is why those SC trucks that are restricted to 2S have to use huge fans to keep the motor cool. I would recommend to get a better motor. The Castle 1800 is somewhat undersized for this weight to my opinion. Either get a motor with better efficiency or a bigger buggy motor.

Both the Tekin 4030 (buggy) and the 4038 (truggy) 1700Kv motors are meant to work with 4S or 5S according to their website. Tekin motors have a high efficiency resulting in less heat. I think you will be just fine with that thing.

Looks like I will be joining the RC8be group. Going to pick one up, and a Tekin RX8 combo. Either the 1900 buggy or the 2050 truggy motor, haven't made my mind up yet.
Tons of info in the thread. I should of never went with HB stuff in the first place...

, have tekin system 2050. Should I run a fan on the motor? This is my first 8th scale so totally pumped and blissfully unaware.
