SC10 4x4 Thread

indoor clay track, long 100ft + straight. blue groove in most areas, with very little to zero loam.
sc4x 5.5 w/ rx8
i am running 15/62. before i geared up, i was having all sorts of problems with no low end torque. i was super slow, and i had my timing maxed out. now with the new gearing, i can actually take some timing off the esc. i found out that even though timing says 100 on the rx8 software, it only means 100% of 30 degrees timing. right now i am running 65 timing, and i think i am going to 50 on my timing.
i am running the stock setup on the slipper, except i have a ht pad on the inside, and a regular pad on the outside. i have my slipper tightened down about 2-3 turns past the 3.5m mark.
i'd be interested to hear what other people are running gearing wise on there sc4x 550 5.5...how do you all like the 60 spur? i was suggested to try 13/60 by an avid local fast guy, but i have yet to try it.
i think i can honestly say i am finally getting there with my truck. i am coming from 2+ years driving a sc10 2wd, and this is my first 4wd. can i really say what's best? no. but imo, i am happy with the way this truck drives. i think the whole slipper deal is bs, and i hope ae gets there sh*t together.
like all ae loyalists, i will buy the ft when it arrives.

Is it a back wheel? a buddy of mine ended up with a drive pin that wasn't in all the way and it was binding on the bearing when he tightened the wheel down.

I started by using the blue 2.0 f/r and since then have gone to the yellow in the rear (dont remember the size off the top of my head, sorry).

Emulsion build setup. Dont skip the last part where you work the shock and then puill the bleed screw back out. Work it hard for maybe 40 sec to a minute before the last bleed.

Your clutch parts need to be replaced or measure the thickness of everything and make sure the parts are correct. Also putting a larger 1415 in there won't help, since the 1415 has more tourqe than the 1410, that pinion is huge!
Scuff the flat on the motor shaft with sand paper a little bit then use blue loc tight on the pinion screw. Let it dry for a hour. Standard process.
The dogbone must be bending due to the way your shocks are setup, you might need to put a limiter or two on the shocks for the positions your running. Bend it back in a vise. Hope this helps.

here is an old issue but looking to see if there is a new answer from more use on the vehicle.
What are people doing about the little glue holes on the stock rims? has it been common now to just fill them or, do people vent the actual tire like 1/8 tires so the dirt has somewhere to go?
