This makes me think I'm under geared at 12/62 with a Novak 4.5/550
IF the LRP 550's run hotter than other brands like their 540's do I could be safe running up to a 15 tooth...maybe...?
I'm not getting great run time with my 5000mah packs either. (quality stuff that deliver what they claim to be so that's not it). Wonder if being under geared would be part of this issue as well...?

Guys Im running a MMP and a castle 1410 3800. I was wondering what gearing people are using in this setup? Im running 32p gears and 16tooth pinion stock spur gear. Im very happy with setup but was wondering if a 14 tooth pinion would be a better setup to give me more punch. Im running about 145-160F after 20 minutes or so on the track.

It really depends on the straightaway. I've got a 120' straight and 23/93 (48p) is just about right on my 3800, it tops out right before I'm on the brakes. If you have a shorter straight, the 15 or even 14 might be fine. Problem is you can only go so low before the punch will overwork the stock slipper even with FT pads. I run the thin slipper pad up front in case it helps balance it out so it's not all rear slip.
I'm going w/ the clutch basket...

They stayed about the same. 140ish after 2 min warm up and 5 min main.

if you're gonna hit up the track, get some new tires now!! suburbs for smooth clay, calibers for loose dirt, or holeshots for hard dirt.

I had a great time tonight at west coast. I qualified 4th & finished 4th. I tried the new aka super soft rebars & they were great! They had plenty of traction but didn't lock the truck down where it wouldn't have steering. Yellow springs in the front worked great as well. If you guys run on a clay track, give the rebars a try!

Eli Apologizes for the lag in response. Eli has not tried this yet, i went back to blue rears for ocrc but am not at all happy with my rear of the truck their right now. Feels like yellows might do the trick. I will give it a try tomorrow.
