The pics and announcement will be made later this week.

We are very happy with this geometry conversion so we hope racers will like what it can do for them on the track.

Tuning for more or less steering will be easier and as well very predictable handling. The nice thing is to be able to fly through rough areas and still feel under control at all times.

We could have released the towers earlier but you know, good stuff takes time.... (yeah, bad excuse but it works).

Hey Team Grid; what's up with the release of a front diff mount? I know you like to innovate and I appreciate that as I love my motor mount. However, at this point, the stock plastic unit strips quickly and I refuse to buy anything made by integy.

Still testing the prototypes. Not happy enough to release it just yet. The front bulk mount will be one piece for performance. Testing different versions. Should be ready soon.

A couple questions.
1 Has anyone have the spur gear rub the center mount?
2 I looked up the speed calculator and it said to run a 1800 on 4 cell with a top speed of 40mph I should run a 22 tooth pinion. Is that right?

Here is a video from my race today. This was my second race ever in 1/8 buggy. The video is of my first heat. I had a couple bobbles at the beginning. My excuse is racing my SC10 4wd just before this and not being used to the retarded power this thing puts down.

I got the trigger finger calmed down a bit and ended up finishing 3rd out of nine drivers later on in the 15min main. It helps being the only guy that can clear the triple in a field of nitro buggies.

1800? Assuming you are running the new.Viper? I run the 1800 with a 17t and a scoche of timing on aarge outdoor track and its perfect.

Looks very clean . Enjoy that while it lasts!

Wiring can make such a difference on how pretty a car can be under the hood cant it? Excellent job bud...

Your set up is identical to mine. If I'm correct, that's even a DS1015 servo I see...

Some advice... watch those front and rear diffs. I'd say after 15 to 20 packs I'd definitely consider a rebuild & maintenance. Mine were bone dry.

Good luck at the race!

Question on my set up from you guys. Saturday I had plenty of on-power and mid turn steering as long as I was on the throttle, but when it came to off-power hairpin turns, I was pushing. I was running the kit set up, 25 weight, bronze springs and all the usual shock locations. Ride height was a guess and I was running 1* camber.

What I'm thinking is to move the lower shock mounts to the inside, go up to 30 weight, go to the lighter silver springs, increase the camber to 2* on the front.

In the rear I plan to stay with the standard set up, but add more camber. I'm at about 1/2*

Thanks.

Try adding a little bit of toe out first. See if that gets you the turn in that you need but doesn't leave you hanging on the exit steering.

I added a little toe out but it didn't help. All my steering issues was at low speed hair-pins. If I added anymore toe out, I'm afraid it would be too squirmy on the higher speed sections.

Maybe it's my steering EPA. Ill have to check.

Thanks.

Give this a try. We have been using SuperLube grease for years on all our diffs including the center diff. Silicone is an excellent dampening medium for shocks and good on o-rings, but .... it lacks the required friction reduction properties needed for the gears in the diffs.

SuperLube is 100% synthetic and friendly on rubber o-rings and ideal for metal on metal contact. We do maintenance on our gear boxes once a year and nice thing about it, it doesn't leak like oil and its cheap when you buy a large tube of it.

The other thing you need to know is, grease is more effective on open gears like the ones in the diffs which is made from cast aluminum and needs good lube to keep them from wearing out. Well, we just eliminated our aftermarket diff cases with this info for you guys.

QUOTE]

I had that problem.
I fixed it by replacing 89019.Took me forever to figure that out. Since it is not a moving part I figured that cant be bad. Well I think what happens is the diff get hot & after a while those parts loose their shape. I want to change it to metal when Grid comes out with one.Integy has one but I rather get Grids.
