For OFF ROAD...boost with 17.5 or 13.5 is the way to go, because it will make your 17.5 drive like 13.5 and 13.5 drive like 10.5............
On mod with 6.5...our top driver, always stick with 205 because with hot motor like 6.5, and the track is not getting bigger, boost just don't make it better...infact, if the setup with boost is off, you will be drag down to the B or C main...
I agreed with you...205 with 6.5 can be better and easier for everyone in off road...you want more speed, gear up or faster motor....

LOL. I'll have to find my setup sheets, I haven't run 1/10 in about 6 weeks. I remember that my 17.5 setup with the GT LPF 2.0 is very close to what SCTom posted when the 323 Stock first came out. And my 205 Mod setup is very close to what JP posted a few pages back, I used his as a base and tweaked from there. About to test out my new drift car, I'll look for setup sheets today or tomorrow.

I'm running my new 2.1 prostock and v2 17.5 and I'm wondering what temps I should be trying for on the esc? and motor? I haven't had a temp gun until now so I'm wondering what to shoot for. Also wondering, since its been a few years, I go to a smaller pinion if temps are high right? I think that we used to do that for the brushed motors when you burned your finger touching it.
thanks again for all the help here!!

Has any one tried running the Silver arrow 1/8 esc with the Silver Arrow V2.0 Brushless Motor - 5.5R on 2s lipo? i plan to run it in a losi scte. Or would the GT2.0 pro esc be a better option on 2s? thanks for the help

Well I got my gearing in the 140 range after about 10-12 minutes running at the track, is that ok? It dropped to 135 after 5 min race though. I was running great times during practice but choked when the racing started.
How much different will my car feel when I connect the sensor wire? I have been running without it since the one I had was a little short.
Thanks again

Must use GT2 PRO for 2 cells....SAII does not work too good with 2S, not enough juice to power that monster...

I have the GT 2.0 pro with the V2.0 550 5.5. I am using it in a 4x4 LCG Slash. It keeps up with the competittion no problem, and its totally programable with the latest and greatest softwares. But youll need a LCD programmer that does not come with the speedo. The motor does come with a long sensor cable FYI. You cant run 2s on the Silver Arrow 1/8, its a 3s speedo. besides the GT is much smaller. If I can help more let me know.

Yes, I have used it successfully, in conjunction with rotor swaps. It creates a window of 10-30degrees now which is great.Temps were in the 120 zone. They boogie in off road, I recommend all the "C" rating you can afford. You will see the difference. Exactly what our motors needed,. I do have MMM motors on the way, and will be testing them too..

Here's the club cirtrix 17.5t combo in my tlr22

I've been running on a small track that is usually very dry on the day I race. This motor/esc combo has been working really well for me. When I get a chance I'll also be purchasing more SP products for my 4wd buggy.
