I have never mounted my flaps. I like the "realism" off full scale, but don't like running them if dirt is caking up. Indoor tracks are not so bad. If you need them, I'll mail them to you. Just Pm me your address.

I have tried the overdrive in the front and the rear felt like dead weight. I didnt like it. I will keep testing the setup I have now, but I think haveing 50k in the front and 7k in the rear is unbalanced.

Make a plate from scrap lexan with 2 holes in it that mounts between the screws/washers and mud flap. No more problems!

You're asking all the right questions, but you can answer them yourself with just a little effort!

Hint: the newer the set up (as long as the track surface is in your ballpark), the more likely it still MAY or MAY NOT work for you.

For instance, Sunday at my local track, we had four SC4xs, all setup very differently. EAch truck worked (more or less) for their drivers, But felt very different to each other when compared to what we were each driving.

I'm not trying to pick on you at all. But the best advice I can give you, is to build it, do a setup on it (start with the one in the back of your manual), then go drive a bunch of laps on it. If it misbehaves and you can't figure it out, post up here a description of how it FEELS to you. Then as a group of peers, lots of guys here can help you figure it out.

But you gotta build it and drive it first.

P.S. I recommend 3mm of rebound...settled on that from a setup sheet on rc10.com. it worked, I used it.

You can back order them from tower hobbies. Since great planes is now the distributor for team associated, tower hobbies which is great planes hobby shop will usually be the first to get them in stock.

Somehow I ended up with sway bars about a week before I got my truck. The front bars were in stock at my local track and the rears I found at a shop in UT when I was out there to race one weekend

you have to keep scouring websites and such and hope you hit lightning in a bottle and find some. Amain had them in stock last Friday and were gone in a day. I was lucky to snatch a a pair of Fronts and Rears. I believe West Coast Raceway has them in stock? They go pretty fast as there aren't enough swaybars on the market to meet the demands of # of trucks, obviously

On page 1 I believe (but yes the SC10 2wd body fits the SC10 4x4) it's the exact same body. you might just have to push the front post in a couple mm's when you put the body on your 4x4 that was made for your SC10 2wd.

also if you want to quickly find something in the 300 + thread here... at the top of each page on the right you can click on (Search this Thread) where you can type in your key word.

Can someone explain to me what the point is of putting shims under the ballstuds?

And what would be the recommended number of shims and on what ballstuds for a 1/10 outdoor loamy track?

It lowers the center of gravity, meaning your car will lean less through a corner. It helps combat traction rolling. Im runnig 5mm in the front outer hole and 3 in the rear inner hole.
