It might seem like I'm nitpicking, and making mountains out of molehills, but running uneven lengths of wiring is not a great idea, electrically speaking.
If you want the best performance out of your motor and ESC you will use the same length of wire from pole A to pole A as you will from pole B to pole B and pole C to pole C.... no matter how ugly it looks.... though to be honest, you can make it look just as nice, but it takes some creativity....

That image certainly shows that pole a to a is almost twice as long as pole C to pole C.... it might seem trivial, but it WILL affect the performance of the motor.... extra heat, less punch, not as smooth....

Well, sorry if I stole your thunder.

Hey Mac! I'm moving back to Ann Arbor in a week or so, I'd be interested in seeing that contraption in action!

I don't know. Other than the slight level of sarcasm, I can look at Ms. Johansson anytime or anywhere. The opening shot of Lost in Translation sealed it for me.

IS this fine, placing the RX so close to the ESC.
I have RX8, but try to give a inch or so between RX & Tekin RX8???

Nice setup, if it's ok, I want to put my RX & RX8 that close, for a neater
setup!

Questions?? thread merge??/Body posts

where is SC10 4x build, race, modify?? Did it merge with this thread??

Anyways...
I havn't painted the Stock body yet. I have been using my 2wd stock Slash body. Is it ok, to just turn, in my case rear, body posts around to fit a body?
It doesn't fit the Slash correctly(when I turn the posts), but I have, Proline Desert Rat 2.0, and i want to put that on my SC10 4x4, before painting the Stock body.
-Can I turn front or rear body posts either way, to fit a body???
-Does it cause any problems? The posts turn around easy enough.?.

THX

Default 1410 & 32p

after mucking around with belt tension trying to get rid of what I thought was belt skip I have just realised it was the stinkin' 48p spur I was running . I didnt have a 32p pinion when I built so I just put the 48p on with my castle 1410 sct combo. After doing some heavy braking moves at my feet on concrete I finally worked out the skipping noise was coming from the rear slipper area not the front clicker / pulley area . after checking mesh for the tenth time I noticed the spur teeth have just feathered slightly, enough to hold the pinion to what felt like a good mesh . moral of the story , ditch your 48p setup if you are using a castle 1410 sct combo and go 32p . I am using 15-62 , same as 23-93 , 10.6 FDR.

I don't know what is considered a 1/8th scale motor. Y do u want a 1/8th scale motor?? in this?

RX8 and a 4.5/5.5t 550 motor is plenty.

I didn't MODIFY anything, i have setups below...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=whfUdzwpYgw

or type in "How to fit 550motor in SC10 4x4"

RX8 and a 4.5/5.5t 550 motor is plenty.
1/8th scale motor from Tekin is the T8
1/10th scale motor from Tekin is the Redline (540 size motor)
1/10th scale SC 4x4 motor from Tekin is the SC4x (550 size motor)

The T8 motor is bigger than both others and can't be used for Racing in the SC 4x4 class. A 550 motor is the biggest race legal motor you can use.
