Default shocks

Has anyone tried the emulsion style shocks versus the bladder style shocks yet? I'm going to try them soon...just wanted to see if anyone had any feedback on them...I'm guessing they'll give a little more traction overall. Let me know what you guys think! Thanks!

I run emulsion due to the tracks here are not big 1/8 style tracks (normal jumps). Also my bladders were screwed up from the start and did more harm than good . Bladders should help give the shocks more pack but emulsion will give more traction.

Guys,

I did a search and could not find anything specific. I just got my front and rear swaybar kits. I currently have the kit setup on the truck with 5000cst AE diff fluid front and rear.

What color swaybars are you guys using for an indoor clay track with med traction, usually run a little wet and tacky?

Thanks for the help.

Jim

Heavy braking today and the belt flipped inside out in front and then over the top of the tensioner and drove it like that for a few laps wondering why it had no bottom end, lol. It feels stretched already even with both tensioners all the way down (19T pulley up front).

Also bent a front CVD somehow.

Tore it down after about 4 hrs of total run time. Diffs were basically empty, like they came in the box. I used green slime on the outdrives and the shock limiters should help. If I had extra diff shims that would probably help with the CVA looseness that allows grease out. I'm running this in a 2.4 hour endurance race in a few days.

On my wishlist if any AE guys are watching: CLEAR BELT/DIFF COVERS

Thanks Cameron! I'm going to give them a try.

Take an old o-ring from inside the diff and stretch it over the step down on the out drive. It will be right against the bearing. Seems to help keep the out drive from wobbling all around. I do still get some leakage using 7k but it is at least twice as many runs between refills. Using 30k in the front and there is no leaks. Also seems Chris from AE says black grease on the out drives not green. Green is not a bearing type grease.

I run mine near the front. I still use the stock rx wire placement. The rx wire just runs down the side of the chassis & when it gets to the mount I use a little dab of shoe goo to hold it there, it works perfect.

Mine is 6" long so it sits on the edge of the chassis for a few inches then up into tube.

i did the same with the Belt....except the Belt ended sticking partially "OUTSIDE" of the front belt cover and serrated/carved a nice piece on top of the cover itself. How does that even happen?

also bent a CVD yesterday as well

agreed on the Clear Belt/Diff covers

its called an underbody coaster, sdrc should have some maybe as early as this friday. Since im running the clicker i dont think i will throw a belt so i plan on taking off all the covers and running the clear underbody.
Use some black grease on the outdrives, green slime may encourage leakage after a few runs.
