I know everybody insists 5k rear works best..Has anybody tried thicker like 10k? I understand the theory behind thinner fluid, but this truck is so different from everything else.

Default Tires for Hard Clay

What's a good tire for outdoor super hard (almost concrete-like) clay with some dust? I'm using Double Dees and think they should be a good choice but that's all I've tried. Would bar type tire like barcodes or wishbones work?

I have tried up to 10k, if the grip at the track is high enough it works well. It give the truck more "drive". It traction is not good enough it makes the truck "loose". We have 2 tracks I run on and the grip levels are different between them, I have found 6k to be a good compromise that works at both tracks.

Default Front sway far in the rear?

I just finished installing my AE front sway bar kit. Does anyone else who bought this think the front sway bar kit will also work in the rear? It looks to be a perfect fit, but what would be different about the AE rear sway bar kit? I used the 2.0mm bar in the front and am thinking the 2.5mm bar would be good for the rear.

The rear sway bars are wider than the fronts and the rear socket joints are longer too.

I am running 3k rear and 7k front and plan on going 7 or 10k rear and 20k front. Truck is very forgivable... almost too much. I'm hoping ill be able to hold a little more corner speed and get the back end to come around a little easier.

I know what changing the rear diff fluid will do as far as drive ability goes. What changes am i going to see with changing front fluid. The main reason I'm changing the front fluid is out of sheer curiosity.

Your right I didn't see any Losi's do that triple! lol That is a fun line for sure! I like the splitting the lane line myself but hit that triple alot in practice. I also hit it with my 2wd buggy sometimes(bad when you miss! lol) and thats with a rtr reedy 3300 motor! lol

Look forward to racing you again!

Ran mine with 1.5 mm bars finally and what a huge difference. It's so much easier to drive. Probably go up to 2.0 and see how that does.

From the track ower:
Quick tease for all of you... Track is 80% complete

Drivers stand to be done and will be located at the centre of the front straight ... it will be set back 1.5 feet from the edge of the track.

DONT FORGET THE TENT COVERS THE ENTIRE TRACK AND THE DRIVERS STAND ... WITH ROOM TO SPARE!!!

The track is 9 inches of 70% Blue Clay and 30% Silt.
The track was packed with a 36 inch twin diesel vibrating roller and diesel powered tamper plates where the roller couldn't go.
All lanes are 10 feet wide with only two small portions of the track did it need to be reduced to 8.5 feet in width.
The front straight away measures out at 100' with the entrance swept from the side straight to allow for 170' of power on Straight away.
The rest of the track is extremely technical with an amazing flow ... very unique track design. This lay out features a little bit of everything.

Good Luck and we will see you at the end of July!!!! Can't wait

I wonder what will be a good tire and truck setup?
