just piccked up a speed passion gran turismo 2.0 LPF. hooked it up with a tekin 13.5t motor sensored. and I have NO brakes. radio settings have been rechecked and esc recalibrated over and over again and can't figure out what's up. It has very very faint brakes even with esc brake settings at 100%%%
anyone have any ideas.
help please hope i didnt waste my money on this esc

Couple things come to mind. One is to check your EPA setting on the radio. I usually set mine to whatever the max EPA is on my radio, worked with both my KO and M11. If that doesn't work, try setting your EPA on radio to 100%, then after you program, bump the EPA above 100% and see if that adds brake. Third thing is to be sure that once you set brake to 100% with the program box, you have to hit the "OK" button. Otherwise, that setting is just stored on the box, but isn't sent to the speedo. That's true of all the programable parameters. Once you have it where you want it, you have to hit the "OK" button.

with the gt2 lpf you also have to set full reverse with program box that came with it to get more brakes. or find someone with the lcd box and put in new software then you have to turn rakes down i did. you wont be turning on reverse just reverse force

ok I will try that stuff and report back. I don't have the cable to link to computer. How much and where can i get it. It would be nice to make sure the latest software is on there.

I'm only running 25% reverse force and have more than enough brake, but that's with the 323Stock software. What software do you have on it right now? As far as the cable, it's just USB on one end (for computer) and mini USB on the other (for the box). Should be able to get one at Fry's, Radio Shack, etc. This assumes you have the LCD program box, not the LED one. You can't upgrade software with the LED box.

2. I don't know what you are using the ESC on, but our 323stock software, especially the brake, is incredible. Alot of the driver has to decrease the % because it is too much for them. Thats why you have to get the LCD in order to upload the latest software.
3...like other mentioned, you have to do the rev on throttle (it is stated on the user manual), set your brake to 100% or so...then, the REVERSE setting, set it 100% as well...the reverse setting has everything to do with the brake. At least, on Speed Passion ESC.
Let us know what your finding...
Btw...is your LPF purchased new or used..? Just wondering.

1. You have to get the LCD programmer box in order to get the latest software, your ESC is not running the latest software, I am 100% sure of that.

I am running it in a kyosho ultima sc truck.
motor is a tekin 13.5t sensored motor.
various 2s lipo batteries.
futaba 4pl radio.
the lpf was out of stock everywhere with a list price of like 116 bucks. I bought this for 80 from a guy on here since everywhere was out of stock. He shipped it to me while I was on vacation and when i get back from vacation speedpassion has them in stock with a new low price of 89 bucks. DAMN!! LOl
so I got to drop another 30 for a lcd box. too bad I couldn't use my castle link or tekin hotwire. I got programmers coming out of the wazoooo. LOL
thanks for trying to help me guys. hope to get it running good soon.

Try what kstarr said and turn your reverse force up to 100%, see if that makes a difference. That will at least hold you over until you can get the LCD box. I can't remember for sure, but I think even the LED box will tell you what software version you have. That would be helpful, because you can then look on the SP site and find a base setup.

I got reverse turned all the way up along with brake force. drag brake is set to 0 because i dont want drag brake. I guess I am going to have to get a lcd program box to make this thing work.
