I still haven't found the shock cartridge (91054) in stock anywhere, and it was driving me nuts. So I went to Home Depot today in search of a temporary fix. I think I have something that will work, has held up just dubbing around the house, will find out if it's track worthy on Wednesday.
I got a 90 cent package of hinged screw covers, clipped off the cap and pushed it onto the threads. Check it out

Still plan on replacing the cartridge when they are actually available, but I'll continue to run it this way until I can replace.

According to Novak's web site, the 3505 is 14mm. in fact, it says all 4 of the 550s are 14mm.
http://www.teamnovak.com/products/br...550/index.html
Of course, it also says "Allowed by ROAR" which ROAR has never publicly made such a statement. The rulebook still only allows "ROAR approved '05' size motors"...so even if they remove the '05' limitation, none of the 550s from any manufacturer are on ROAR's approval lists.
Guess you can't believe everything you read on the internet...

I've had the same problem with (3) Novak rotors. I've got more miles
on my Tekin 4.5 and it has never failed. The Tekin is smoother then the
Novak 4.5 so you'll probably love the Tekin.
Heres the fix for the rotor problem. I went to Advance Auto and got some
Permatex high temperature sleeve retainer, it cost about $9.00 Loctite
also makes the same thing. The I pulled the rotor magnet off the pinion
shaft cleaned them both with brake cleaner. Then I followed the instructions
for the Permatex and I never had the problem again. Everyone I talked to
at the track that sent motors back for repair has the problem over & over
again. My fix is permenent, so give it a try, nothing to loose but $9.00 &
a little time.
Hope this helps...

Hey guys,
I thought I would share my build up for those still looking for more info/pics, etc. Let me know what you guys think. I doubt I covered anything not already in this comprehensive thread.. I even linked back to it because there was a bunch of stuff I referred to that I first found here.
