Argus USA Engines Thread

Although the motors are great and you should not have any issues, it appears that they will stand behind the product as good if not better than most I have seen.

I don't know of anyone who has had to get any support, so I don't think anyone knows!
Thus far I am flat out impressed with mine. Ran mine in my truggy for the first time (been in my buggy thus far) and put on a real crisp tune on it and the thing was VERY good for power. With the Alpha 0801 Pipe it has a very linear power-band.
As far as trying a different carb, I don't see any problem with the carb that is on it, for me at least.
This engine has been quite easy to tune, for me at least. I actually find myself on the rich side because the engine runs so well, even with a real rich tune on it.

Will piston/liner/conrod from Alpha One fit this engine? I m asking cause last weekend during race my Argus just stop on the track, when my pit crew tried to restart it the flywheel was jam, intially i thought the conrod broke. Today I opened up the engine and saw that the conrod was fine, then found out that one of the wrist pin C clip came undone and got sandwiched between the piston and the cylinder leaving both with deep scratches. The only fast solution to get me up and running is to get a set of Piston/Cylinder/Conrod set from an Alpha One (which is available at my LHS). I understand this engine was made from the same manufacturer. Pics as below. Can anybody confirm this can be done?

I know this can happen to any engines, infact I had a few experience like this before (in nitro onroad) with top Italian and Japanese brand engines which cost 3-5 times more than Argus. So definitely not Argus quality problem. As I said I love this engine, easier to tune and power is everywhere.
