Just a note from AE about the drive belt:
I took my truck down to inspect everything after racing it and noticed the
belt was riding against the right side (passanger side) of the pully's. The
belt is fraying the cords a little bit on the right side from rubbing the pully.
Don at AE says it is normal and not to worry about it on the SC10 4x4.
So I figured I'd just give everyone a heads up about this.
Enjoy"

Hey guys was hoping someone could tell me what part of the sevo assembly neede to have loctite in it...It was mentioned b/f, I beleive, that there was a screw on the steering assembly that needed it..Besides that and the screw on the shock shaft that need it, what are other parts of the build also not mentioned in the manual, that needed some thread lock??
I think someone also mentioned to put black grease on a part on the steering assembly??Is that necessary??Should i put black grease on any other parts not mentioned in the manual??
I run on a mostly a loose and large 1/8 type track..Would the 19t pulley be a better idea for these conditions than the 20t??I'm running also the stock gear diff with the supplied 3000wt in both front and rear just to give it a feel..One diff was slightly lower than the other but not all bad...At least, not nearly as bad as some that had none in there diff''s whatsoever..Well i filled the slightly lower one with some extra 3000wt I had laying around..I have now moved to the suspension assembly and was just wondering if there were somethings I could come back and perfect b/f i move forward..

Grease the front clicker to quiet it down. They say to put some on the 2 halfs of the servo saver but personaly I don't do it, on any of my cars. B4.1 and my SC10's have glued servo savers, this is not for everyone, not gonna do that on this truck and it's pretty tight as is.
I put my truck together by hand, no power tools. I used a little BG on the threads of all the screws going into plastic parts and it helped them thread in easier, chap stick or something else would work as well or better but it's what I had. I would caution using power tools only because of the fine threads on the metric hardware..IMO
Not saying you can't use power tools, just be careful. I personaly like to "feel" when they are tight, but that's me.

This isn't a big issue however I noticed at full droop (truck lifted off it's wheels with suspension fully exteded) that the steering spindle (#91026) rubs the front arms (#91025) when turning left and right. This doesn't happen when the vehicle is on the ground with the suspension at ride hight or fully compressed.
Anyone else noticed this?
I can see it putting a bit of stress on the servo or servo horn when I turn it side to side. However there wouldn't be much pressure on them when driving it since the truck would be in the air to get this rubbing effect (plus how often do you turn the wheels when your flying in the air off a jump!)

Who has the most packs through their truck? What does the long term durability look like for this thing?
I am one who loves to go to practice and slam down pack after pack. I know things should cool, and I do wait a little between runs. I take good care of my stuff I just like to run like crazy. I had a hyper 10sc that I ran alot and gave me little problems in the durability department (just handled like crap on the track). I will be running mine in a few days. Sold that hyper months ago in anticipation of this sc10. The rx8 and sc4x should be here today in the mail...cant wait!
