What size are the wing screws and washers? Or part numbers would be great.

Thanks!

my motor/esc combo finally came in and i was able to take mine out for the first time yesterday. this is my first 1/8 scale car so the performance was going to be a shock to me anyway but man i love this thing.

first i took it to a local bmx track during my lunch hour. i can't believe the distance this thing can clear. not only that but survive the jumps. i was hitting stuff that was insane to me. 40-60 gaps like it was nothing.

then last nite i was able to get to my local 1/8 scale track just to get a feel for it. holy crap it's awesome. my center diff is leaking, so i'll tear it down and rebuild all three with the mugen gaskets and some sanding. but overall i'm very happy with the car. i still need to play around with gearing. i'm running a 2250kv with the stock 15t pinion right now, i think i can go up a few teeth.

my poor 1/10 scale stuff is going to start to feel left out. lol

Been lurking for a bit since I picked up a used RC8Be a few weeks back -- a lot of great info on this thread. What a rush going from a 2wd short course to this beauty. I am still trying to get the hang of it (going to be some time before I am ready to race).

My home track is an indoor clay track with good grip. Presently I am running 5-5-5. Has anyone seen any significant advantage changing to another setup...

I ran a few times at a tight indoor clay track this past winter. I tried 10-7-5 and the car was not good at all. I ended up with 5-5-3 and the car was much better.

I see your in Michigan, where at? I was running mine at 5-5-5 and hated it. Couldn't get enough steering and my exit speed was slow. After messing around I found 5-7-3 and love it. It corners super tight and gets decent traction out of the corners.

mugen gaskets work well, also make sure to sand the diff cup to even it out.

I would also put in the clear o-rings, they fit more snug around the outdrives.

good luck!
