Also, as already pointed out, the mesh getting tight for part of the spur rotation is the spur and not the mount. You'd have the same problem with the stock or Elite mount. That's one reason why I will set mesh and check for at least 1 full rotation of the spur.

The bearing fit in mine nicely, and there is no additional play with the outdrive.
Well that sux for me! The bearing that was in it was not really worn at all, and rolled really smooth! I didn't check the clearance when I installed the Grid to see if it had play!
Next time one of you fellow Grid owners take out your center diff for service, could you PLEASE measure the I.D. of the bearing surface area so I can compare?
Thanks!

My GRID mount has been working flawlessly! Id say its a "must have" part for this buggy as it makes motor and gear changes 100 times easier.

The tires I had picked out (now bought also) was in limited quanties status when they wern't last week also.

Lots of people buying up 1/8th stuff for the new season i guess
My advice: If you like that battery, buy it. With the 15.00 coupon is a 75.00 LIPO - hard case - Venom - and a lot more durable than Gens Ace (AND IN STOCK) for only 9 bucks more...

Yep. May be a 30C, but who cares. Can't go wrong with this battery. I wouldn't be surprised to see tower sold out in 3 days time.

I agree, I run nothing but venom batteries. I have 4 of these 5000 4s batteries. Ive run them to death they have always done what I needed them to do. Could you buy a better battery? Sure you can.. But why waste your money on 2 awesome batteries.. when you can have 4 great batteries for the same price.. plus my LHS always gives me great deals

What 15 dollar coupon? The 15 off 125? Assuming you add 25 dollars of someting else to the 100 dollar battery to use that coupon, or is there another coupon? Thanks

Default Sanding the diff

I read on here about sanding the diff to help prevent leaks. Can someone explain exactly what this means and how to do it? Thanks!!

It is many pages back, but basically you sanded the edge of the diff housing on fine sandpaper (I used 800 iirc). Put the paper on a smooth surface and lightly grind flat the edge that mates to the gasket in a figure 8 pattern until it looks evenly sanded. This will allow it to make better contact with the gasket. Doesn't take much.

I used the mugen gaskets as well, and since they are thicker I sanded a bit more.

Depends on how long it takes to get through Canadian customs. Mine took about 7 days.

The SNR stuff is top notch and the new geometry really makes the buggy easier to drive really hard. RTR weight is 3330g, not too light but good enough for me. Enjoy the pics!
is 3330g your fully loaded weight?
if so that a pound lighter than mine
does this cf kit come with the side bumpers? Looks nice !!

recall how much for the cf make-over?

Yup 3330g fully loaded and sittin on the track. The cf kit did not come with mudguards and the ae ones fit like crap cause the sides of the cf chassis are flat so I'm gonna use some tekno v3 ones instead. Don't really need them running indoor clay tracks but do like the extra support for the sides of the body and extra protection for componets inside the car from hits from other buggies. The whole snr cf package was $220 for both towers and the chassis.

I have 2 huge projects coming for you guys. I've just been freakishly busy with the Tsunami relief effort. I'm working on gathering the information for the thread right now. As of today, I've worked 12 days in a row. And I go to school 4 nights a week. I'm working until next Saturday before I get another day off. But try to bear with me while I get through work. Lots of things have been mentioned about the Grid mount this weekend. I also have a solution for that, again stay tuned. Im working on things that are almost done. I didn't plan on this Tsunami happening, and that's when I get busy when world emergencies happen.

This only tells about 1/4 of the story.

Dude I literally just bought one on ebay about 15mins ago for 60.00 shipped new in package only 2 states away also . I wasn't planning on buying one for a while but the price was right and it was a great buy.

I have a question about the rx8 system, I perfectly happy with it as it is and how i have it set up. I was wondering if the hot wire was worth buying? I bought the rx8 system used and I don't know much about it besides using the settings on the actual esc itself. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If this should be on the rx8 thread mybad.
