The 10 would be fine, unless you plan on running low low low turn modifieds in TC or 4wd.

anyone tried a viper motor in a desc410r yet, with tekin 550's on b.o. i'm thinking the extra torque the vipers have just might fit the bill for a tight indoor track, got a viper 10.5 in my dex and its great

Maybe we will find out after this weekend - need to check Billy Fishcer's Durango at Cactus.

Just a note for the team guys discussing ESC settings on the VTX10's. All the units out in the field right now are engineering samples. They are not production - so the way you got them with settings might be a little random depending on if they were bench tested or whatever.


The production units will come with a base line setting that can be used right out of the package. More news on that to come as we get closer to official release.

I will be testing the 550XL 5.5 as soon as it gets shipped out to me. Should bring my SC to life

The 10 can go down to 5.5 safely (recommended). The 10R can run... whatever you want.

Got my Vtx10 with the 8.5 on the track tonight.
SO much fun.. Esc is Super smooth LOTS OF BRAKES! love it.

super good feel to it, the 8.5 was Fantastic lots of power

geared my b4 at 22/81 and motor was super cool and esc did not even get worm

didnt have my temp gun on me but those temps were super good for a hot set up.

ill get my esc settings down on paper for the 8.5 and my 13.5 once i get some race time and post them.
