Yeah, while racing, you'd need a transponder. Most tracks have them to loan out. But you find yourself unscrewing and unplugging it between races. Unless you get a wireless one. But then if you forget to charge it, it's dead anyway. So easiest is to buy your own. They never drop in price though. So you're looking at $80-$100. Sometimes I see them for $65 used.

And yes, for the grid mount, you want inner support for the larger pinions. 17T-22T.

Gregg,

I'm going to order my charger tonight. From epbuddy. The i-charger and power supply you recommended long ago...

Last chance :-) Is this an awesome charger or would you suggest a different one. Anyone else want to chime in?

I still think it's an awesome charger. I think Billy is the only other one that has it.

That's because a wall outlet can't put out the power it needs. I charge at 20amps. But it I run off to corner Marshall. I turn it down to 10amps. Charges my 4S packs in about 25-30 mins.

Default should I buy more?

So on 3-3-11 I order two batteries from hobbyking. I got the standard international shipping because I really didn't think it would take 30 days to get here. So now I am wondering, do I buy two more batteries and have them ship faster or do I wait? The problem is they have to be here on or by 3-25-11. If they are not then my track weekend will be shot to sh@t since I will only have 1 4s battery. I am not going to the track with just one batter. What would you guys do? Here it was the swiss post tracking says, i translated it to english. Took 6 days to ship!!! rediculous!!

Chinese new year messes up the shipping orders. You can try to order something with the faster shipping, but it wont guarantee that they ship the same or next day

The Monster pulls 120 amps, a 20c 5000mah only gives 100 amps so your limiting the potential.

I have the turnigy 5000mah, 40c, and I can definitely tell the difference between the 20c as far as punch before a jump. I had to shave some of the battery tray for the wires but it's nice a snug in there with the padding and doesn't rub the body.
